Service bulletins for the 2009 Audi A6

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

710 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

001349203357612023-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay.
371431201300252022-11-21. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. ATF pan leaks
371430200365862022-11-21. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Vehicle lacks power or will not move after stop due to simultaneous depressing of the brake and accelerator pedals
961485202741652022-11-21. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Sunglass holder will not close
TRMDMV_NY_Audi2022-11-04. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS. In conjunction with the New York DMV, Audi will be sending Takata airbag recall reminder notices to approximately 5,165 Audi owners in the State of New York on October 17, 2022.
011462203616932022-10-31. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. In tank, fuel pump may be making a straining noise. Diesel fuel requires additive blending or ?winterization? to be useable at low temperatures. At temperatures below 20° F (-7° C), No. 2 Diesel with insufficient winterization blending may lose its fluidity due to wax separation. This may clog the fuel filter or in-tank filter, preventing the engine from operating properly. No. 2 Diesel is blended by refineries to various levels of winterization (minimum useable temperature) based on month, geographical location, and the 10th percentile minimum ambient air temperature for the given region. Although rare, during sudden periods of extreme low temperatures (record lows), fuel stations may not be adequately prepared with No. 2 Diesel fuel with sufficient winterization to resist wax formation or ?gelling?.

011403203322332022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. The programmed values for the misfiring recognition are not automatically reset by deleting the memory once.
011383203300112022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Under certain driving conditions, the secondary air ports in the cylinder head can accumulate carbon over time, causing a restriction.
011373203322312022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Engine warning light on after engine replacement
011366203145832022-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). Under extreme driving conditions, such as a driving profile of mainly short distance (stop and go) driving high crankcase pressure can lead to the above described DTC codes.
011350203019222022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. A deformed oil seal behind the potentiometer (Figure 1) causes a linkage of the intake manifold flap adjustment to stick, which sets the DTCs.
011349203545422022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Under certain driving conditions, the secondary air ports in the cylinder head can accumulate carbon over time, causing a restriction. The ODIS tester can identify the state of the restriction, and will request that the system is cleaned in order to prevent the MIL from illuminating.
011348203300152022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Under certain driving conditions, the secondary air ports in the cylinder head can accumulate carbon over time, causing a restriction.
011345203145842022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). Under extreme driving conditions (such short-distance, stop-and-go driving), high crankcase pressure can cause the DTCs to appear.
011337203300142022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Under certain driving conditions, the secondary air ports in the cylinder head can accumulate carbon over time, causing a restriction.
011335203545412022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. During reset of the service reminder, the following message appears on the ODIS tester: ?Secondary air injection system - checking secondary air mass?. Under certain driving conditions, the secondary air ports in the cylinder head can accumulate carbon over time, causing a restriction. The ODIS tester can identify the state of the restriction, and will request that the system is cleaned in order to prevent the MIL from illuminating.
011329203322322022-10-31. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. The programmed values for the misfiring recognition are not automatically reset by deleting the memory once.
011309201475382022-10-31. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. The use of contaminated gasoline or gasoline with a low content of deposit control additives may result in one or more conditions.
011301203300122022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Under certain driving conditions, the secondary air ports in the cylinder head can accumulate carbon over time, causing a restriction.
011258203145812022-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Under extreme driving conditions, such as a driving profile of mainly short distance (stop and go) driving high crankcase pressure can lead to the above described DTC codes. By changing the crankcase pressure valve to a lower operating pressure this condition can be improved and eliminate the mentioned possible DTC codes. Along with the crankcase pressure being lowered, a new ECM software level is required to compensate for new crankcase pressure.
001470203920612022-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. High quality media files (video and sound) are now integrated into technical service bulletins on a case-by-case basis. Media files can now be viewed on any smartphone or tablet.
001463203357622022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OIL/LUBRICATION: OIL COOLER. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay. When an unapproved aftermarket speed-filling device is used to add oil to the engine, the increased oil flow rate may force oil into the intake manifold or combustion chamber, creating the potential for engine damage.
001459202973722022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OIL/LUBRICATION. When oil is drained through the drain plug, the oil might spill on components around the oil pan area. If it is not properly cleaned up, this spilled oil could drip after the procedure is complete, causing unnecessary customer complaints.
001349203357612022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OIL/LUBRICATION. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay.
