Service bulletins for the 2009 Audi A6
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| A171568 2028440- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 14-49 dated April 3, 2014. When the vehicle is completely refueled, the vehicle range (?distance to empty?) that is displayed is different than the vehicle range that was displayed the last time the vehicle was completely refueled. The displayed vehicle range drops inconsistently. After the vehicle is refueled, the displayed vehicle range does not change for a long period of time. When the vehicle is driven on hilly roads for a long period of time, the displayed vehicle range suddenly changes by a significant amount. There are no DTCs related to fuel senders stored in the instrument cluster control module, J285 (address word 17). This condition does not involve or affect the accuracy of the fuel level indicator, but only the estimated distance to empty display on the on-board computer. |

| A011309 2014753- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 10-01 dated February 5, 2010. Excessive accumulation of deposits on intake valves, intake manifold, fuel injectors and combustion chambers. Engine runs rough after cold start. Excessive engine cranking time. Hesitations while driving. Rough engine idle. Reduced engine performance. Poor fuel economy. Conditions may be severe enough to illuminate the MIL in conjunction with storage of DTCs for misfire (example: P0300, P030x) and / or lean fuel system (example: P0171, P0174, P1128, P1130, P1136, P1138) in the engine control module (ECM). Condition may be caused by use of contaminated gasoline. Condition may be caused by use of gasoline with a low content of deposit control additives. |
| A011256 2031368- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. MIL on. Engine misfire. Poor performance. Unnecessary High Pressure Fuel Pumps replacement due to Guided Fault Finding test plans not being performed or interrupted when the following DTC?s are present in the engine control module. |
| A011455 2036169- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP. The MIL is on. DTC P0087 may be stored in the ECM. Drivability concerns such as hard starting/no starting are present. Outside temperature is sub-freezing. In tank, fuel pump may be making a straining noise. Diesel fuel requires additive blending or ?winterization? to be useable at low temperatures. At temperatures below 20° F (-7° C), No. 2 Diesel with insufficient winterization blending may lose its fluidity due to wax separation. This may clog the fuel filter or in-tank filter, preventing the engine from operating properly. No. 2 Diesel is blended by refineries to various levels of winterization (minimum useable temperature) based on month, geographical location, and the 10th percentile minimum ambient air temperature for the given region. Although rare, during sudden periods of extreme low temperatures (record lows), fuel stations may not be adequately prepared with No. 2 Diesel fuel with sufficient winterization to resist wax formation or ?gelling?. |
| Dealer Letter - | 2017-10-21. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP. This document contains general information on the upcoming warranty extension on the high pressure fuel pump. |
| A901553 2019804- | 2017-10-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 90 number 10-15 dated August 10, 2010. One or more of the following conditions are present. Fuel gauge does not reach Full in dash insert. Fuel gauge shows less fuel than the actual amount. Fuel level shown on gauge decreases faster than expected when tank is full. Spontaneous refilling requests when half full. Inaccurate calibration of the fuel gauge display. |
| A011514 2014753- | 2017-10-21. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13-09 dated June 21, 2013. The use of contaminated gasoline or gasoline with a low content of deposit control additives may result in excessive accumulation of deposits on intake valves, intake manifold, fuel injectors, and combustion chambers, engine running rough after cold start, excessive engine cranking time, hesitations while driving, rough engine idle, Reduced engine performance, and/or Poor fuel economy. Conditions may be severe enough to illuminate the MIL in conjunction with storage of DTCs for misfire, lean fuel system, or air/fuel ratio imbalance in the engine control module. Condition may be caused by use of contaminated gasoline. Condition may be caused by use of gasoline with a low content of deposit control additives. |
| 2033836/2 | 2016-05-19. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY:FILLER PIPE AND CAP. SUMMARY TO BE PROVIDED ON A FUTURE DATE. |
| TSB-24-09-28 | 2010-08-09. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. AUDI: MIL ON AND ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING DTCS ARE STORED INTHE ECM DATA MEMORY-P310B (LOW PRESSURE FUEL SYSTEM REGULATION, FUEL PRESSURE OUTSIDE TOLERANCE); P129F OR P008B (LOW PRESSURE FUEL SYSTEM, PRESSURE TOO HIGH); P129F OR P008A (LOW PRESSURE FUEL SYSTEM, PRESSURE TOO LOW); P2540 (LOW PRESSURE FUEL SYSTEM, PRESSURE OUT OF RANGE; AND P0087 (RAIL FUEL PRESSURE SYSTEM, PRESSURE TOO LOW). *PE |
