Recalls that may apply to the 2008 Audi A5

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

By component

United States: NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19
16V3760002016-05-27. AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE-INACTIVE; AIR BAGS. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (VW) is recalling certain model year 2008-2009 Audi A4, A5, and Q5 vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the air bag control units may corrode and fail.
Canada: Transport Canada, as of 2026-10-19
20162462016-05-24. Airbag. On certain vehicles, a power supply component within the airbag control unit may corrode and cause the unit to fail. If the airbag control unit were to fail, the airbag light would illuminate in the vehicle’s instrument panel, and safety systems such as seat belt pretensioners and airbags could be affected and may not deploy in the event of a crash (where deployment is warranted), which could increase the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. Correction: Dealers will replace the affected airbag control module.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
