| A171568 2028440- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 14-49 dated April 3, 2014. When the vehicle is completely refueled, the vehicle range (?distance to empty?) that is displayed is different than the vehicle range that was displayed the last time the vehicle was completely refueled. The displayed vehicle range drops inconsistently. After the vehicle is refueled, the displayed vehicle range does not change for a long period of time. When the vehicle is driven on hilly roads for a long period of time, the displayed vehicle range suddenly changes by a significant amount. There are no DTCs related to fuel senders stored in the instrument cluster control module, J285 (address word 17). This condition does not involve or affect the accuracy of the fuel level indicator, but only the estimated distance to empty display on the on-board computer. |

| Campaign Circula | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Under certain conditions, the output signal from the vehicle?s Engine Control Module (ECM) to the in-tank fuel pump may reduce fuel supply pressure to the fuel rail. If this happens, the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) will illuminate, and the DTC code P0087 ?Fuel Rail/System Pressure ? Too Low Bank 1? will be stored in the ECM. A vehicle with this condition will not pass an IM (emissions) inspection. Please be aware that other conditions (unrelated to the issue described in this action) may cause the MIL in a vehicle to illuminate. Customers should be prepared to cover all diagnosis and repair costs for these other, unrelated conditions. |
| A231537 2040752- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 23 number 15-36 dated July 17, 2015. The MIL is on. Vehicle either runs roughly or does not start. DTCs are stored in the ECM. Metallic particles in the high pressure fuel pump may cause the condition. |
| A011304 2032958- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY. Engine will not start after standing in cold weather below 0°C (32°F). MIL may be illuminated with various induction and/or boost system faults stored in ECM. Moisture from the intake air condenses and collects in the charge air cooler. At cold temperatures, this moisture can freeze, causing blockage of the intake air system. |
| A011309 2014753- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 10-01 dated February 5, 2010. Excessive accumulation of deposits on intake valves, intake manifold, fuel injectors and combustion chambers. Engine runs rough after cold start. Excessive engine cranking time. Hesitations while driving. Rough engine idle. Reduced engine performance. Poor fuel economy. Conditions may be severe enough to illuminate the MIL in conjunction with storage of DTCs for misfire (example: P0300, P030x) and / or lean fuel system (example: P0171, P0174, P1128, P1130, P1136, P1138) in the engine control module (ECM). Condition may be caused by use of contaminated gasoline. Condition may be caused by use of gasoline with a low content of deposit control additives. |
| A911267 2029197- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. Customer states volume fluctuates unnaturally. This may be described as significant increases in Bass or Treble levels shortly after startup, in conjunction with Park Aid, or during normal driving. Only applies to vehicles equipped with BOSE sound system (PR No. 8RY) Vehicles with a BOSE sound system in conjunction with AudioPilot are equipped with dynamic driving noise compensation. It adjusts playback volume and/or equalization depending on noise inside the vehicle. This function is perceived as a flat increase in volume as the cabin noise increases, usually due to increases in speed. In some vehicles, issues with the vehicle microphones may cause the volume to noticeably change at times when it is not necessary, such as in a parking lot, or when backing out of a driveway. |
| A941296 2027773- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS; EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 12-69 dated March 15, 2012. In the past, the daytime running light bulbs were a serviceable part. In this application, the LED strip cannot be replaced, and may have an associated control module. This TSB is for servicing information only. |
| A011256 2031368- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. MIL on. Engine misfire. Poor performance. Unnecessary High Pressure Fuel Pumps replacement due to Guided Fault Finding test plans not being performed or interrupted when the following DTC?s are present in the engine control module. |
| A911263 2021151- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 11 ? 83 dated April 15, 2011. The customer may report that the illumination of the dash insert, the air conditioning control panel or the inside light flickers when briefly pressing the accelerator in P or N or when shifting down while driving downhill. Only vehicles with PR number 8GH may be affected. When high electricity consumers are switched off and the battery is fully charged, the energy generated by the alternator is sometimes too great for the power system to absorb. This may lead to briefly increased voltage, and the lights mentioned above may briefly flicker. This characteristic is caused by the alternator design and is a normal condition of the vehicle. |
| A901238 2032113- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. The customer may state that the outside ambient temperature display is incorrect. To achieve a smoothening effect of the displayed outside ambient temperature, the value shown does not instantaneously follow the temperature sensor measurement. The display will not change faster than 4° F (2° C) per minute. This concept applies to both falling and rising temperatures. A programming strategy is also implemented to avoid incorrect readings on a parked vehicle, due to the temperature sensor being affected by outside influences such as radiant heat from the engine bay, elevated road surface temperatures, etc. |
| A571402 2022032- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 13-97 dated October 29, 2013. The customer inquires about the operation of the vehicle locking, and may suggest that the vehicle ?locked itself?. The lock command history is stored in the convenience system control module (J393). |
| A001466 2037949- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. A DTC with the description ?Invalid Data Record? is stored after an ECU has been replaced or updated. This DTC is normal. It indicates that the parameter data has not been properly programmed into the ECU by SVM. |
| A001465 2011732- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 12-32 dated February 7, 2012. This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) details the general process for carrying out a Software Version Management (SVM) software update for any TSB or Update. |
| A911437 2030947- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 13-92 dated July 16, 2013. The customer complains that when he or she is trying to place a phone call from the vehicle while using a Bluetooth®-connected phone, the phone call disconnects before it begins and an error shows on the MMI display. The message may be "Function not supported" or "Network error". The customer is using a phone with the Android operating system. In addition, Skype®, or another network-based communication software, is installed on the phone. Call can be placed directly from the phone without a problem. When the phone receives the request to place a call from the vehicle, a prompt appears on the phone asking the user to choose how the call should be placed. If the prompt is ignored, the MMI system disconnects the call because it assumes that the phone is not responding. |
| A171449 2028440- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 12-26 dated January 20, 2012. |
| A911419 2026895- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 11-16 dated October 5, 2011.
