A211315 2027585-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 21 number 12-09 dated May 16, 2012. Rattling and/or jarring noises heard from the engine compartment/exhaust system between 1800 and 2900 rpm. Because of exhaust gas pulsations, the wastegate flap and rods vibrate at the start of the boost air control. This vibration causes rattling or jarring noises.
A421318 2021771-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 40 number 10-10 dated September 10, 2010. Light cracking or rubbing noises when steering. The noise emanates from the front suspension strut mounting. The complaint occurs most often when the vehicle is maneuvered at slow speeds (e.g., parking) or when the steering wheel is turned while the vehicle is not moving. The noise is not caused by extreme load on only one suspension strut (e.g., slowly driving uphill while turning the steering wheel).
A421216 2021724-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. STEERING; EQUIPMENT; SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 40 number 12-24 dated June 6, 2012. Loud cracking or rubbing noises when turning steering wheel. Steering is not affected and will operate normally. Prior to performing this TSB, check whether the vehicle is equipped with rubber shock absorber stop and the plastic cap on the shock. Vehicles equipped with the Audi magnetic ride suspension may not be equipped with these components and this TSB will not be applicable to such vehicles. While steering, the shock absorber stop can chafe on the plastic cap of the suspension strut. If the vehicle is lifted up, the noise disappears. The boot is not properly secured / installed, or is deformed.
A011256 2031368-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. MIL on. Engine misfire. Poor performance. Unnecessary High Pressure Fuel Pumps replacement due to Guided Fault Finding test plans not being performed or interrupted when the following DTC?s are present in the engine control module.
A171232 2018550-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 12 - 31 dated August 30, 2012. Oil consumption measurement - Repair Authorization (CA). In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically engines with specified break-in periods consume more oil during the break-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the break-in period. Refer to the Owner's Manual for specific break-in procedures. Under normal conditions, the rate of oil consumption depends on the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, the ambient temperature and road conditions. Additional factors are the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue and the oxidation level of the oil.
A911262 2024323-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 10 - 60 dated September 28, 2010. Parking aid sporadically warns of obstacles when none exist. Parking aid is inoperative or provides constant warning. Various parking aid sensor fitting issues. Environmental conditions.
A911263 2021151-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 11 ? 83 dated April 15, 2011. The customer may report that the illumination of the dash insert, the air conditioning control panel or the inside light flickers when briefly pressing the accelerator in P or N or when shifting down while driving downhill. Only vehicles with PR number 8GH may be affected. When high electricity consumers are switched off and the battery is fully charged, the energy generated by the alternator is sometimes too great for the power system to absorb. This may lead to briefly increased voltage, and the lights mentioned above may briefly flicker. This characteristic is caused by the alternator design and is a normal condition of the vehicle.
A941292 2012749-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 11-52 dated October 11, 2011. Condensation is visible on the inside of the headlight, taillight, fog light, side marker light, front turn signal, daytime running lights, or third brake light lens. Damp air settles on the inside of a cold lens, which creates condensation. The headlight circulation system allows air from the outside to flow through the headlights. This open waterprotected ventilation system (needed for pressure compensation) creates different climate zones in the headlight: very warm areas, where the lens is warmed up by the light, and relatively cool areas, where the lens is cooled own by the air flow. Considerable differences in humidity and temperature between the inside and the outside of the headlights, even while driving, can lead to condensation. This is especially true in cold and wet weather, but it can also happen after a car wash, after steam cleaning the engine or the front end, with overnight temperature changes, etc. This phenomenon is more visible on lenses made of clear glass than on lenses with patterns. The moisture does not affect the headlight function (light performance) and does not lead to corrosion or other damage to headlight parts.
Email - Counterf2017-11-08. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS. On October 10, 2012, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released a press release regarding the potential for some vehicles to be at risk for containing counterfeit airbags if the airbags in the vehicle were replaced at independent repair shops that are not Audi dealerships or Audi certified. The Audi vehicles listed by NHTSA as at risk vehicles for the potential of containing counterfeit airbags if the airbags have been replaced are MY 2006-2009 A3, A4, A6, A8, Q5, and Q7 vehicles. If a Customer purchased their vehicle new, or if the vehicle is Certified pre-owned and a CARFAX report shows the airbag has never been replaced, there is no issue.
A401228 2031722-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; SUSPENSION; EQUIPMENT. Customer may report creaking and squeaking noises from front axle when driving at low temperatures on rough/bumpy/uneven roads. The customer complaint can be reproduced. The sound comes from the rubber and metal mounting of the front track control arms. The rubber lip of the rubber metal mounting rubs on the collar of the control arm. The resulting stickslip effect creates this sound, which does not affect the service life and function of the components. This is a normal condition. Track control arm bushings that are completely cracked through should be replaced.
A901238 2032113-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. The customer may state that the outside ambient temperature display is incorrect. To achieve a smoothening effect of the displayed outside ambient temperature, the value shown does not instantaneously follow the temperature sensor measurement. The display will not change faster than 4° F (2° C) per minute. This concept applies to both falling and rising temperatures. A programming strategy is also implemented to avoid incorrect readings on a parked vehicle, due to the temperature sensor being affected by outside influences such as radiant heat from the engine bay, elevated road surface temperatures, etc.
A911450 2018187-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 13-02 dated August 30, 2013. Customer may report that cracking, grinding, rattling, humming, whining, or similar interference is coming from one or more speakers. Parts of the speakers (such as the brackets, cables, or covers) or parts of the interior fittings (such as door covers, rear shelf, facings, or covers) can vibrate at certain frequencies, causing noises. The radio tuner or other control modules may be affected by electromagnetic interference from aftermarket electronic devices.
A421421 2021724-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. STEERING: STEERING WHEEL/HANDLE BAR. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 42 number 12-16 dated November 13, 2012. Loud cracking or rubbing noises are heard when the steering wheel is being turned. Steering is not affected and operates normally. This bulletin does not apply to vehicles with magnetic ride suspension (which are equipped with rubber shock absorber stop and a plastic cap on the shock).
A401441 2018194-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION:FRONT:SHOCK ABSORBER; SUSPENSION:REAR:SHOCK ABSORBER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 40 number 13-34 dated September 23, 2013. Oil appears on one or several shock absorbers.

Customer feels vibration in the seat, vehicle floor, footwell, pedals, or steering wheel. This condition does not lead to any handling concerns or loss of vehicle control. The customer feels the vibration while driving at highway speeds from 55 ? 80 mph (88 ? 128 km/h). This bulletin is not applicable if this vehicle has a Repair Authorization on this topic. If an applicable Repair Authorization is not followed, the claim will not be paid. The vibrations felt by the customer could be a result of the harmonic vibrations caused by the radial force variation (RFV) of the tires or an imbalance of the wheel and tire assembly.
A371430 2003658-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY:PEDAL/HAND LEVER(MOTORCYCLE). Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 37 number 13-07 dated May 29, 2013. Customer states that the engine returns to idle speed of approximately 1,400 RPM although the accelerator is depressed, and/or the vehicle hesitates (lacks power on take-off). No DTCs are stored. This condition may be caused when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed simultaneously. Drivers who drive with their left foot resting on the brake pedal are prone to experience this condition.
A001463 2033576-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 13-49 dated May 14, 2013. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay. When an unapproved aftermarket speed-filling device is used to add oil to the engine, the increased oil flow rate may force oil into the intake manifold or combustion chamber, creating the potential for engine damage.
A191450 2025303-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 19 number 13-41 dated June 20, 2013. G12++ coolant (for service available) has been introduced in MY 2005 for all engines. G13 has been introduced in MY 2008 as factory filling and service.
A911437 2030947-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 13-92 dated July 16, 2013. The customer complains that when he or she is trying to place a phone call from the vehicle while using a Bluetooth®-connected phone, the phone call disconnects before it begins and an error shows on the MMI display. The message may be "Function not supported" or "Network error". The customer is using a phone with the Android operating system. In addition, Skype®, or another network-based communication software, is installed on the phone. Call can be placed directly from the phone without a problem. When the phone receives the request to place a call from the vehicle, a prompt appears on the phone asking the user to choose how the call should be placed. If the prompt is ignored, the MMI system disconnects the call because it assumes that the phone is not responding.
