Service bulletins for the 2008 Audi A3
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| A171449 2028440- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 12-26 dated January 20, 2012. When the vehicle is completely refueled, the vehicle range (?distance to empty?) that is displayed is different than the vehicle range that was displayed the last time the vehicle was completely refueled. The displayed vehicle range drops inconsistently. After the vehicle is refueled, the displayed vehicle range does not change for a long period of time. When the vehicle is driven on hilly roads for a long period of time, the displayed vehicle range suddenly changes by a significant amount. There are no DTCs related to fuel senders stored in the instrument cluster control module, J285 (address word 17). This condition does not involve or affect the accuracy of the fuel level indicator, but only the estimated distance to empty display on the on-board computer. |

| A961482 2036344- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:ANTI-THEFT DEVICES. The vehicle's anti-theft alarm sounds when the driver door is unlocked with a mechanical key. No DTCs are stored. The keyless remote was not used to unlock the vehicle. In order to minimize current draw after the ignition has been turned off, the electronics system of the vehicle goes into sleep mode. During this time, each module monitors the CAN bus more slowly than when the electronics system is awake. Because the system is being monitored more slowly, there is a delay in the waking of the central locking system. This delay causes a delay in the disabling of the anti-theft alarm system when the manual key is used. If the key is turned in less than a quarter of a second, the system can unlock the vehicle even though the anti-theft alarm has not been disabled. |
| A911429 2026888- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 12-50 dated August 1, 2012. Echo effects, caller on either end cannot hear conversation, sound distortion or feedback, and the sound is distorted, hisses, or scrapes occur during a phone call. This bulletin provides guidelines for analyzing the call quality of the Bluetooth system in the vehicle, and is not applicable to any Audi warranty. |
| A911419 2026895- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 11-16 dated October 5, 2011. | A011463 2033630- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13-86 dated April 15, 2013. The MIL is on. There is a rough idle. DTCs are stored in the ECM. Engine may have reduced performance without significant loss of power or stalling. Because there are a number of different misfire faults (unrelated to ignition coil operation) that could cause the MIL to illuminate, proper Guided Fault Finding (GFF) misfire diagnosis must be followed before any ignition coils are replaced. |
| A011457 2015106- | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 24 number 11-06 dated December 7, 2011. The MIL is on. DTCs are stored in the ECM. Due to fuel intrusion into the low-pressure system fuel pressure sensor (G410), a false signal may be sent to the controller, resulting in a reading that is out of tolerance. Comparing Measured Value Block 103 with 106 is not an accurate method for diagnosing G410. In order to diagnose G410 accurately, use a mechanical gauge and compare results with the low-side fuel pressure Actual Value in Measured Value Block 103. |
| Reference-Oil Ca | 2017-11-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. This document contains the Audi oil capacity chart. |

| A911314 2013790- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM); EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 11-25 dated November 29, 2011. The navigation DVD or other CD/DVD cannot be ejected. There are no DTCs stored in the corresponding module. The eject button is not stuck. When the eject button is pushed, the drive does not sound as if it is trying to eject the CD/DVD. Vehicles with DVD-based navigation systems now have the navigation DVD installed during production. To prevent theft of the DVD during transportation, the eject button of the navigation drive is disabled. The navigation system itself (e.g., route guidance) functions as specified. The eject buttons of vehicles without DVD-based navigation systems are not disabled during production, but could behave as described in the Condition section of this bulletin. The eject button can be enabled through Guided Fault Finding. |
| A441344 2022563- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. STEERING; SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 13-42 dated September 27, 2013. | A441346 2010334- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. WHEELS:LUGS/NUTS/BOLTS/STUDS; WHEELS. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 12-32 dated August 2, 2012. Wheel bolt requires torque adjustment. Torque sticks, torque extension bars, and impact guns/wrenches are not approved by Audi of America, Inc., and should not be used to apply torque to wheel bolts. Always use a calibrated torque wrench to attain the correct wheel bolt torque and follow the proper wheel tightening procedure as outlined in Elsa. Proper use of a calibrated torque wrench ensures that all wheel bolts are tightened equally and reduces the chances of repeat repairs. Using methods other than a calibrated torque wrench to attain correct wheel bolt torque may lead to problems. |
| Customer Letter | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. a faulty intake manifold may cause the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) on the instrument cluster to illuminate due to the presence of specific fault codes caused by this component and/or a faulty fuel injector may cause minor misfire conditions and, in turn, cause the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) on the instrument cluster to illuminate due to the presence of specific fault codes caused by this component.
