20012442001-10-10. Electrical. Certain passenger vehicles. An electrolytic capacitor contained in the amplifier for each rear speaker could leak an electrolyte, which may in time and in the presence of humidity, cause an unwanted conductive path. This condition could result in the amplifier overheating and a potential fire risk. Correction: Volkswagen has not yet provided the remedy for this recall.
19990041999-01-11. Fuel System. On certain vehicles, the fuel injectors could malfunction and cause fuel seepage in the engine compartment. Fuel seepage, in the presence of an ignition source such as a spark leak from a spark plug wire could cause an engine compartment fire. Correction: All fuel injectors will be replaced on affected vehicles.
19971751997-10-10. Seats And Restraints. THE AIR BAG SENSOR ON THESE VEHICLES MAY MALFUNCTION AND CAUSE THE AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM TO DEPLOY WITHOUT AN IMPACT OR ACCIDENT. DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM WITHOUT WARNING COULD CAUSE A DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. CORRECTION: AIR BAG SENSOR CONTROL MODULE WILL BE REPLACED ON AFFECTED VEHICLES.
