Service bulletin SSM 54949
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some 2024-2026 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a condition where short drop windows, window bounce-back, and/or one-touch open/close does not operate properly. This may be due to loss of window initialization. Replacement or reprogramming of the DDM, PDM, and/or any other components may not resolve these conditions. The short drop windows feature may be restored by performing a reset procedure as described in the Digital Owner's Manual > Windows > Using Short Drop Windows > Resetting Short Drop Windows. If the customer is experiencing an inability to fully close the window due to repeated bounce-back events, the window bounce-back feature may be overridden by performing an override procedure as described in the Digital Owner's Manual > Windows > Window Bounce-Back > Overriding Windows Bounce-Back. The one-touch open/close feature may be restored by performing a reset procedure as described in the Digital Owner's Manual > Windows > Opening and Closing the Windows > Resetting Window One-Touch. These symptoms may return after a successful reset/override

| TSB 26-2298 | 2026-06-29. Service bulletin. This article supersedes 25-2551. Reason for update: to correct the descriptions for the liftgate glass weather seals. Some of the vehicles listed in the model statement above may exhibit paint wearing along on the top inner edge of the tailgate where the rear window weather strip contacts the tailgate. This may be due to the accumulation of dirt between the rear window seal and tailgate. |

| SSM 54665 | 2026-03-18. Service bulletin. Some 2026 F-150/Bronco/Ranger/Mustang Mach-E vehicles may exhibit a blank center display screen after deactivating transport mode. To correct the condition, cycle the ignition from On/Ready to Off. Open, close and lock the door and let the vehicle sit for a minimum of 5 minutes. Reprogramming or replacement of any modules will not correct the condition. If the concern continues, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00 Information and Entertainment System for normal diagnostics. |
| SYNC-25.2.1.6.5.2 Bronco | 2026-02-25. Over-the-air update. Quality Improvements Include: - Bug Fixing and Feature improvements. - Resolves black screen issue caused when there is no SiriusXM disk space. |
| SSM 54064 | 2025-07-24. Service bulletin. Some 2024-2025 Bronco vehicles equipped with a painted hard top may exhibit a strong plastic odor inside the cabin coming from the painted hard top during high temperatures and/or after extended periods of sun exposure. This is part of the normal material break-in process for the removable roof panels. This break-in process can be accelerated through exposure to heat over time such as leaving the vehicle parked in direct sunlight on warm days. To dissipate the odor, instruct customers to use air conditioning with the recirculate function off and/or open the side windows to vent the interior cabin. |
| SSM 53981 | 2025-07-02. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a rattle from the front windows with the windows placed in the partially down position and driving over rough roads and/or bumps. This may be due to the interface between the window glass and the body mounted glass run. To correct this condition, replace the body mounted glass runs using the body mounted glass run kit (3 door: M2DZ-9821597-E, and 5 door: M2DZ-7821597-F) which contains updated seals for improved sealing performance. For claiming, use causal part 9821597/7821597 and labor operations 23943A and 23943A19 in Section 12 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |
| SSM 53962 | 2025-06-24. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2025 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a water leak from the A-pillar, overhead console/upfitter switches and/or sun visors. If a leak is identified from this area, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-18 Pinpoint Test (PPT) G for water leak diagnosis. If the PPT leads to the replacement of the header seal, a revised header seal has been released for service (M2DZ-7803110-H) which contains a thicker consistent bead of butyl across the entire length of the seal. The header seal will need to be firmly depressed and massaged to make sure all of the butyl that is across the entire header seal will properly adhere to the body, creating a water-tight seal. For claiming, use causal part 7803110 and labor operation 03110A in Section 12 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |
