Service bulletin SSM 54847
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 54856 | 2026-05-26. Service bulletin. Some 2025-2026 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a condition where cruise control is inoperative and/or an "Adaptive Cruise Control Not Available" message is displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0422:00 stored in the anti-lock brake (ABS) module. If a vehicle exhibits this condition, this may be due to an incorrect configuration programmed to the ABS module during an attempt to change tire size. <br /><br /> The Ford Performance ProCal 4 tool is the only approved tool that can be used for properly adjusting the tire size calibration. Vehicles originally equipped with 30-inch tires that are being upfit with 35-inch tires should be set to 615 revolutions per mile in the Ford Performance ProCal 4 tool under Diagnostics and Tools > Tire/Gear Adjust. Any other concerns related to tire size calibration that exhibit this condition, contact the Ford Performance Techline as outlined in the Ford Performance ProCal 4 tool instructions. <br /><br /> This limitation in tire size calibration is due to the software in the ABS module. |

| SSM 54848 | 2026-05-26. Service bulletin. Some 2025 Bronco Raptor vehicles may exhibit a concern where certain selectable drive modes (G.O.A.T. modes) are unavailable after the ABS module receives a software update. Customers may also report that the "Offroad" mode is not visible and/or after switching to the "Baja" or "Rock Crawl" drive modes, the vehicle returns back to "Normal" mode. To correct this condition, download and run the "ABS - Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module Software Update" application using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming use causal part 2005 and labor operations 2219D and 2219D44. |
| SSM 54733 | 2026-04-14. Service bulletin. Some 2025-2026 Bronco/Expedition/Navigator/F-150/Ranger vehicles may exhibit a "Check Brake System" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) and/or an illuminated anti-lock brake system (ABS) indicator with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C0563 stored in the ABS module. This may be due to air still trapped in the system after prior bleeding attempts and/or brake service mode being enabled. The applicable pinpoint test (PPT) in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 206-09 has been updated to improve diagnostics for this concern. Make sure the latest software version of Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) is being used when performing the brake system pressure bleeding routine. |
| SSM 54362 | 2025-11-12. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2025 Bronco vehicles may exhibit an illuminated red brake warning indicator with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C0049:01 stored in the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module. Replace the brake fluid reservoir and the brake fluid level sensor electrical connector. Do not disconnect the brake fluid level sensor electrical connector, cut the connector 3-4 inches (75-100 mm) from the connector end and leave the brake fluid level sensor electrical connector attached to brake fluid reservoir. Include these parts in the same package when returning warranty replacement brake fluid reservoirs. The brake fluid reservoir with the electrical connector still connected should be packaged in the original box to protect it during shipping. For claiming, use causal part 2L210 and labor operations 2140A and 2219D45WR. |
| ABS-25.9.3B Bronco | 2025-10-17. Over-the-air update. 25S77 Recall remedy: -Addresses a potential loss of brake boost while driving. Hydraulic braking assist will still be available |
| SSM 54250 | 2025-10-02. Service bulletin. Some 2024-2025 Escape Hybrid/Maverick Hybrid/Nautilus Hybrid/F-150 non-Lightning/F-Super Duty/Bronco and 2025 Expedition/Navigator/Ranger vehicles where customers have installed an aftermarket supplemental braking system may experience a discharged 12-volt battery after recreational towing. This may be due to the supplemental braking system keeping the vehicle awake during brake applications. Advise customers that while recreational towing the vehicle with a supplemental braking system installed, it is recommended to use a 12-volt battery charger connected to a power source external to the vehicle being towed. The Owners Manual is in process of being updated with this information. |
| SSM 53988 | 2025-07-02. Service bulletin. Some 2025 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 2.3/2.7L EcoBoost engine built on or before 12-June-2025 and 2025 Bronco Raptor vehicles equipped with a 3.0L EcoBoost engine built on or before 18-June-2025 may exhibit various illuminated brake system warning lamps/fault messages at start up with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) C003A:4A, C003A:64, C0037:4A, C0037:64, C2005:1D, C2005:78, C2006:1D, and/or C2006:78 stored in the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module. To correct this condition, reprogram the ABS module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 2005 and labor operations 2219D and 2219D44 in Section 02 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |
| SSM 53986 | 2025-07-02. Service bulletin. Some 2025 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 2.3/2.7L EcoBoost engine built on or before 12-June-2025 and 2025 Bronco Raptor vehicles equipped with a 3.0L EcoBoost engine built on or before 18-June-2025 may exhibit an illuminated anti-lock brake system (ABS) warning indicator with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3012:68 stored in the ABS module. The vehicle may also exhibit any of the following symptoms: a soft brake pedal following vehicle start-up, various brake system illuminated warning lamps and/or brake-related messages displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may be due to a controller area network (CAN) communication concern within the ABS module. To correct the condition, reprogram the ABS module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 2005 and labor operations 2219D and 2219D44 in Section 02 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |
| SSM 53875 | 2025-06-11. Service bulletin. Some 2025 Bronco and Ranger vehicles may exhibit various illuminated brake system warning lamps/fault messages at start up with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) C003A:4A, C003A:64, C0037:4A, C0037:64, C2005:1D, C2005:78, C2006:1D, and/or C2006:78 stored in the antilock brake system (ABS) module. To correct this condition, clear the DTCs, turn the ignition off and then back on, engage and disengage the park brake and then run a self-test. If any DTCs return, refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM) for normal diagnosis. If the DTCs clear, this concern may be due to the ABS software and replacement of the ABS module or wheel speed sensors will not resolve this condition. Inform the customers they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in Q3 of 2025. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. |
