Service bulletin S2521000004 Rev.A

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Step 1: Retrieve and record all DTCs. C15D9 (Low Air Mass): Perform air mass test, complete system fill, leak-down test, and leak source identification before compressor replacement. C15A1 (Unable to Obtain Desired Ride Height): Verify ride height, perform leak-down test, inspect valve block, air lines, and air springs. C1562-98 (Over Temperature): Inspect for excessive compressor run time, leaks, low air mass, and restrictions before condemning the compressor. If a leak is found, repair the leak and verify operation before replacing the compressor. If no leak is found, perform compressor functional evaluation. If moisture is in the lines and valve block, then evacuate or replace lines. Only replace the compressor when a defect is verified (internal leak, failed solenoid, weak output, seized motor, failed functional test, or electrical failure). During diagnosis dealers may find rubber separating from the bushing on the handling link (SOL S2102000004 Rev C. for reference). This is normal and most likely is not attributed to the noise. Please follow normal diagnosis and ensure all tie-rod and ball joints are properly torqued and if worn, replace. If diagnosis leads to lower control arm replacement, the tension link(s) should be replaced first then test driven to ensure noise has disappeared before any handling link replacements.

S2123000070 REV.A2026-05-28. Service bulletin. After Electric Power Steering (EPS) Replacement, Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) C221C-00 ECU Not Programmed/Flash Required Is Set
9100532 REV12026-05-20. Service bulletin. Before replacing the steering column control module (SCCM) due to wipers inop, wipers not turning off, wipers not returning to position, heated steering wheel not working and/or steering controls inop, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) light on, please follow these steps: 1.- Review if there is any active DTC. Refer to service library procedure and follow diagnosis steps. 2.- If failure still present, make sure all the switches', horn's, heated steering wheel, airbag's harness are properly connected and there is no corrosion or pinching, disconnect the switches & reconnect them, and reverify the issue. 3.- Verify if failure is still present, review if there is lack of communication between SCCM and BCM. For example, activate turn signals or wipers. 4.- Read at the BCM diagnosis session if BCM is receiving information from SCCM. Through diagnosis review if activation from horn, wipers or turn signal is requested and are working. 5.- Disconnect the SCCM fuse for around 30s,and repeat the previous steps to see if failure still present. 6.- Do a hard reset to BCM and evaluate if any DTC is set. Retest if failure still present. Review the active DTCs. 7.- Before replacing the SCCM disconnect it and reconnect it again. Note: Wipers position is not controlled by SCCM, verify motor wiper status if issue continues. If request from SCCM is sent to BCM, then verify if the communication to wipers is not working properly. If there are no DTC's active, physical defects, steering controls inop, wipers inop, heated steering wheel inop, then SCCM does not need to be replaced. Note: WL / WS SCCMs do not contain a Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) The Steering Angle is computed within the Electronic Power Steering (EPS) module. See Electronic Power Steering (EPS) module for diagnosis and repair procedures.
