Service bulletin SSM 54388

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Some 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E vehicles equipped with nickel, cobalt and manganese (NCM) standard/extended range battery with minor feature codes HTHAD/HTHAE and 2022-2025 e-Transit vehicles equipped NCM standard range battery with minor feature codes HUKAL/HUKAA may require a high voltage battery module replacement. Technicians can now replace the affected battery module for high voltage batteries with a state of health (SOH) of 70% or higher. It is no longer necessary to replace the complete high voltage battery assembly for vehicles with 70% SOH or higher. Additionally, the battery health chart has been updated to display the actual battery SOH as a percentage and now requires the selection of checkboxes corresponding to the specific high voltage battery module(s) being replaced. After a high voltage battery module replacement and battery reinstallation, relaunch the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) "BECM - Battery Health" application which will prompt for confirmation of a successful repair.<br /><br /> To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information

SSM 550802026-08-20. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E vehicles built on or before 25-Jun-2023, 2022-2025 E-Transit and 2022-2023 F-150 Lightning vehicles may experience a high voltage battery stop charging condition when using a direct current (DC) fast charger level 3 with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0EEE:27 and P2E53:27 stored in the on-board diagnostic control module A (SOBDM). This may be due to the SOBDM software. Replacement of the charge port will not resolve this concern. Inform customers that their vehicles can still be charged using a level 1 or level 2 alternating current (AC) charger. Engineering is currently working on a software solution expected in Q3 2026. Schedule an appointment with the customer when the repair becomes available. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information.
SSM 549952026-07-29. Service bulletin. Some 2023-2026 Mustang Mach-E vehicles equipped with a lithium iron/ion phosphate (LFP) standard range battery (minor feature code HTHAH) may exhibit a battery energy control module (BECM) state of health reading that over-estimates the actual high voltage battery state of health after a BECM replacement directed by the Workshop Manual (WSM). This may be due to the software in the BECM. To correct this condition, download and run the "BECM-High Voltage Battery Capacity Relearn" application using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 10B687 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4. The engineering team is currently working on a permanent software solution which is expected to be available in Q4 of 2026. If a vehicle exhibits this concern, submit a Global Concern Report (GCR). To submit a report, click on the "Submit Global Concern Report (GCR)" link at the upper right of the Professional Technician System (PTS) Vehicle ID screen (vehicle identification number ÝVIN¨ required) and fill out the form. Do not use the "Report A Problem" link to submit a report for
SSM 550312026-07-28. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2026 Ford/Lincoln vehicles may exhibit various symptoms including but not limited to the auto start/stop system not operating as intended with a "Check Charging System" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) while the charging system is operating properly with no charging related diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored. This may be due to someone using an aftermarket programmer to change the body control module (BCM) configuration to disable the auto start/stop system or perform other unsupported programming modifications. To correct this condition on F-150 and Bronco vehicles, download and run the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) application titled "BCM-Charging System Configuration Correction". Running this application will determine if the BCM configuration was modified by the customer and if so, provide the option to return the configuration back to factory settings. For other vehicle models exhibiting concerns related to unsupported aftermarket BCM programming, submit a Technical Support Request (TSR) requesting support to revert the BCM configuration
SSM 549912026-07-13. TSB 26-20052026-01-21. Service bulletin. This article supersedes TSB 25-2058 to update: service procedure enhancements, and increase labor operation allowances. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a 12-volt battery drain. This may be due to the software level of various modules such as the gateway module (GWM), accessory protocol interface module (APIM) and driver front seat module (DSM).
SSM 543342025-11-04. Service bulletin. Some 2023-2025 Mustang Mach-E vehicles equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) standard range battery (minor feature code HTHAH) built on or after 23-Jun-2023 may exhibit a condition where the displayed high voltage (HV) battery state of charge (SOC) percentage has a sudden reduction greater than 10% while driving. At low SOC, this may also result in a reduction of vehicle power with a turtle light displayed in the cluster. This concern may occur if the vehicle has not been charged to 100% for an extended period of time as this leads to an inaccurate displayed SOC. Advise customers to charge their vehicle to 100% at least once per month to reset the SOC measurement or more often if the condition persists. To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS).
TSB 25-23432025-07-30. Service bulletin. This article supersedes TSB 22-2491 to update labor times from M-time to AP-time and add a cap. Some of the vehicle listed in the model statement above may exhibit at least one of the following conditions: - Illuminated red triangle with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P27B4 stored in the secondary on-board diagnostic module C (SOBDMC) - Charge Status Indicator (CSI) is blinking red with DTC P0A7F stored in the battery energy control module (BECM) - DTC P0CF7 stored in the secondary on-board diagnostic control module (SOBDM) This may be due to an unsecured plug-in electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the SOBDM.
TSB 25-22782025-07-01. Service bulletin. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit the condition that the traction control feature cannot be turned off/disabled through the vehicles center display screen. Customers will see the soft button slide to the off position, then re-enable itself a couple seconds later. This may be due to the software in the instrument panel cluster (IPC).
