Service bulletin SSM 54290
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some 2025 Escape/Maverick vehicles equipped with an 8-inch instrument panel cluster (IPC) display may exhibit a condition where the fuel gauge displays up to the 8th mark below full fuel level when the fuel tank is full. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected by the end of Q1 2026. Replacement/reprogramming of the IPC will not resolve this condition. Monitor PTS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. If this condition is encountered, enter a vehicle identification number (VIN) and click the "Submit Global Concern Report (GCR)" link at the upper right of the PTS "Vehicle ID" screen. Fill out the GCR form, referencing this article number in the report.

| SSM 55211 | 2026-10-06. Over-the-air update. 2023-2026 Escape and 2025-2026 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine may require removal of the turbocharger wastegate control actuator linkage for various reasons. The Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-04 Fuel Charging and Controls - Turbocharger - 1.5L EcoBoost > Removal and Installation > Wastegate Control Actuator Linkage service procedure has been added. In addition, the wastegate control actuator linkage rod with retaining clips (6K682) and actuator linkage rubber boot seal (9E416) have been released as lower-level components to complete the repair without replacing the entire turbocharger wastegate control actuator assembly. |

| TSB 26-2428 | 2026-10-02. Service bulletin. This bulletin supersedes 25-2326. Reason for update: update the service procedure to include the fuel tank isolation valve replacement, update the causal part number, and increase the labor time allowance to include the fuel tank isolation valve replacement. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2450 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the software in the PCM and/or the fuel tank isolation valve. |

| SSM 55177 | 2026-09-21. Service bulletin. Some 2025-2026 Maverick and 2026 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with an 8-inch instrument panel cluster (IPC) display may exhibit a condition where the fuel gauge displays one mark below the full fuel level when the fuel tank is full. This may be due to the software in the IPC. To correct the condition, download and run the "IPC - Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Software Update" application using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 10849 and labor operations 12651D and IPC. |
| SSM 55140 | 2026-09-02. Service bulletin. Some 2025-2026 Maverick vehicles built on or before 05-Dec-2025 and 2024-2026 Nautilus vehicles built on or before 04-Sep-2025 may exhibit limited power and display "Stop Safely Now" or "Service Vehicle Soon" stored in the message center after start up with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P0A5D, P0A60, P0A63, P0A6F, P0A72, P0A75, and/or P0E52 stored in the inverter system controller (SOBDMC). The Ford Diagnostic and Repair System (FDRS) may refer to this module as the "Secondary On-Board Control Module C". If the vehicle exhibits these conditions, replace the inverter system controller. Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 307-01B. For claiming, use causal part 7B012 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D56. NOTE: This article does not remove any RVC, Prior Approval or Warranty and Policy requirements for component replacement. |
| SSM 55058 | 2026-08-03. Service bulletin. | SSM 55031 | 2026-07-28. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2026 Ford/Lincoln vehicles may exhibit various symptoms including but not limited to the auto start/stop system not operating as intended with a "Check Charging System" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) while the charging system is operating properly with no charging related diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored. This may be due to someone using an aftermarket programmer to change the body control module (BCM) configuration to disable the auto start/stop system or perform other unsupported programming modifications. To correct this condition on F-150 and Bronco vehicles, download and run the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) application titled "BCM-Charging System Configuration Correction". Running this application will determine if the BCM configuration was modified by the customer and if so, provide the option to return the configuration back to factory settings. For other vehicle models exhibiting concerns related to unsupported aftermarket BCM programming, submit a Technical Support Request (TSR) requesting support to revert the BCM configuration |
