Service bulletin SSM 54206

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Some 2025 Mustang GTD vehicles may set diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0420:82 in the image processing module a (IPMA) during a diagnostic self-test. This may be due to the module's DTC sensitivity during vehicle key-on/start-up. Replacement or reprogramming of the IPMA module may not resolve this condition. If no other DTCs are present, no warning indicators are illuminated while the engine is running, and no noticeable symptoms are present, no additional diagnostics or service is recommended for this condition at this time. Inform customers engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in Q2 2026. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. If this condition is encountered, use the "Submit Global Concern Report (GCR)" link at the upper right of the Vehicle ID tab to submit a report and reference this article number in the report.

If the vehicle exhibits these symptoms, start the vehicle using both key fobs. If the no crank/no start condition with "No Key Detected" concern is present, reprogram both key fobs and retest. If the no crank/no start condition with "No Key Detected" is still present, replace the body control module (BCM). Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-10. For claiming, use causal part 15604 and labor operation MT55118SSM up to 1.8 hours.
SSM 550722026-08-25. Service bulletin. Some 2025-2026 Mustang vehicles equipped with a 5.0L or 2.3L engine and built on 15-Aug-2025 and through 01-Dec-2025 may exhibit various drivability symptoms and/or have diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) related to throttle/pedal position circuits. This may be caused by a spread terminal at the PCM connector. Inspect for loose fitting terminals at C1551B for 2.3L vehicles, and C175B on 5.0L vehicles. Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram Cells for circuit identification and wiring repair information. Wire terminal repair kit part DU2Z-14474-CA is recommended for this repair. SSM 550312026-07-28. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2026 Ford/Lincoln vehicles may exhibit various symptoms including but not limited to the auto start/stop system not operating as intended with a "Check Charging System" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) while the charging system is operating properly with no charging related diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored. This may be due to someone using an aftermarket programmer to change the body control module (BCM) configuration to disable the auto start/stop system or perform other unsupported programming modifications. To correct this condition on F-150 and Bronco vehicles, download and run the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) application titled "BCM-Charging System Configuration Correction". Running this application will determine if the BCM configuration was modified by the customer and if so, provide the option to return the configuration back to factory settings. For other vehicle models exhibiting concerns related to unsupported aftermarket BCM programming, submit a Technical Support Request (TSR) requesting support to revert the BCM configuration
SSM 550082026-07-20. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2026 Ford vehicles may exhibit inoperative heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel and/or front/rear defrost features after a remote start is performed through the Ford mobile application or with the key fob. Customers may also experience heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel and/or front/rear defrost features turning on in unexpected conditions such as during warmer weather. These features will operate normally when commanded in the center display screen. This may be due to the customer not setting up their "Climate Settings" through the Ford mobile application. To correct this condition, inform the customer they should perform a remote start from the Ford mobile application and then adjust the "Climate Settings" in the Ford mobile application as desired. These settings only need to be set once and will persist through subsequent remote starts. Heated and cooled seats will be set to Level 2 when turned ON via "Climate Settings" in the Ford mobile application during a remote start event. This is normal operating characteristic. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no a
TSB 26-22972026-06-29. Service bulletin. Some of the vehicles listed in the model statement above equipped with SYNC4 may experience a blank center display screen or black center display after welcome animation. TSB 26-21852026-05-14. Service bulletin. This bulletin supersedes 25-2621. Reason for update: add 2026 model year vehicles and Transit, update the causal part number (15604), update the Service Procedure, update the service labor operations for 2023 F-Super Duty, and add service labor operations for Transit. Some vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a no crank/no start condition where the customer cannot start their vehicle. The vehicle may also exhibit a "No Key Detected" message displayed on the instrument panel cluster (IPC), and no key fob works in the back up slot. The remote keyless entry (RKE) functionality will work to lock/unlock the vehicle.
SSM 547652026-04-28. Service bulletin. Some 2025-2026 Bronco, Bronco Sport, F-Super Duty, Maverick, Mustang, Mustang Mach-E, Ranger and Transit vehicles may exhibit a no audio/sound condition. This may be due to the software in the audio control module (ACM). To determine if it is a software concern, disconnect the vehicle's 12-volt battery cables for 10 minutes and reconnect. If the concern is still present, continue with normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00 Information and Entertainment System > General Information > Diagnosis and Testing and repair as necessary outside of this article. If the no audio/sound concern is resolved, engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected by September 2026. Replacement or reprogramming of the ACM and or audio digital signal processing module (DSP) may not resolve this condition at this time. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. If a customer's vehicle exhibits this concern, submit a Vehicle Concern Report.
