Service bulletin SSM 53822

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component
SSM 523802024-04-04. Service bulletin. Some 2024 Ranger Raptor vehicles may exhibit a condition where the ATCM makes a clicking/ratcheting sound when turning the drive mode rotary dial to change the drive mode. Reprogramming or replacing the ATCM will not resolve this condition. Inform customers that a solution for this condition will be released via a software update delivered over-the-air (OTA) expected in Q4 2024. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicle's settings. Schedule a service visit for customers who have disabled vehicle connectivity or who report that they did not receive the update in December 2024. Monitor OASIS for additional information.
