Service bulletin 511891

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

According to FCA Recall 24V896: "The brake hydraulic control unit could fail. Over time, this could cause the antilock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC) system and/or traction control not to work. An antilock braking system, electronic stability control system and/or traction control system that doesn't work could increase the risk of a crash."

5118692025-03-11. Service bulletin. According to GM Recall 24V702: "The brake lines in these cutaway vehicles may not meet the recommended clearance to the GM-provided body mounts. If brake lines contact the body mounts, the brake line may experience wear or damage that could lead to a brake fluid leak. A brake fluid leak can result in reduced stopping performance or inoperative service brakes, increasing the risk of a crash.
5117672024-05-28. Service bulletin. According to Ford Motor Company, on your vehicle, it may be possible for the parking brake to disengage without pressing the release button. If the parking brake is unintentionally disengaged, it could result in the vehicle rolling away, increasing the risk of crash or injury. This is according to Ford Recall Campaign 24V143.

511638F2023-08-02. Service bulletin. According to GM Safety Recall N222375270/23V266: "These vehicles may have a brake pressure sensor assembly that allows brake fluid to leak beyond the diaphragm seal into the pressure switch. The brake fluid may seep into the sensor's electrical components and short the brake pressure switch and the associated fuse. If brake fluid shorts the brake pressure switch and the associated fuse, the circuit can generate excessive heat that could result in a fire, increasing the risk of injury. An under-hood fire may occur when the vehicle is off and possibly unattended."
