Service bulletin 08-123-24
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

"Flash: Park Assist Module (PAM) Updates Customers may experience the following: ● A pop-up on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) telling customer to wipe off the Park Assist Sensors (PAS), even though nothing is actually on the sensors. When this IPC pop-up is present, the front Parksense feature is disabled Fig. 1. This bulletin involves reprogramming the PAM with the latest software available."

| 9100480 | 2025-01-16. Service bulletin. Park Sensor Vehicles can have a warning in the cluster indicating that the park sensors are inoperative and to wipe the park sensors. If the sensors are clean and the message is still present there are 2 items that need to be checked - 1. Verify that the decoupling ring, the thin rubber ring directly around each park sensor, is not rolled or pinched. If an edge is rolled it can put excessive pressure on the sensor and cause the module to think that the sensor is blocked. 2. Verify the PAM PN. If the PN is 56029962AH, then the s/w is old and requires an update to at least 56029962AI level to fix the issue. If the PAM PN is 56029962AH please update it to the latest available PN. |
