Service bulletin MC330224

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

After close inspection of the manufacturing process, there is a weld seam at the hollow shaft and crown wheel connection in the rear drive that is not to specification in a few rear drives. Depending on riding habit, this can lead to slipping and loss of propulsion over time.
