SSM 524762024-05-03. Service bulletin. All accessory stick-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated (wired) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System (DPES); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com > Parts and Service > Parts Product Line Information > Keys/Entry Devices > Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.

SSM 523282024-03-20. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2024 Bronco/F-150, 2023-2024 Escape/F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may experience a concern during accessory protocol interface module (APIM) programming where the vehicle's center display screen indicates USB Error. This may be due to a lack of memory space available to perform the APIM software update. If it is a memory concern, the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) will provide an option to delete the voice application. Re-enter the module programming and when prompted, do not select first option - SYNC Module (APIM) Software Update, select the second option - Delete Voice Application(s) From Module. Once deleted, run the SYNC Module (APIM) Software Update as directed, this will update the software and automatically reload the voice app. If the voice delete option is not available, continue with normal diagnostics in the Workshop Manual, Section 418.
SSM 522982024-03-05. Service bulletin. Some 2023 Escape vehicles built on or before 10-Jul-2023 and equipped with a 12 inch instrument panel cluster (IPC) display may exhibit a roundabout/traffic circle arrow directing the traffic to go to the left (clockwise) around the roundabout. This is incorrect and opposite to what is displayed in the center display screen. The direction of travel should be to the right (counterclockwise) around the roundabout/traffic circle. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in April 2024. Replacement/reprogramming of the IPC will not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.

SSM 522612024-02-23. Service bulletin. Some 2023 Escape vehicles with hybrid powertrain built on or before 27-Oct-2023 and 2023 Corsair vehicles with hybrid powertrain built on or before 24-Oct-2023 may exhibit an intermittent no audio condition with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U1A00:87 stored in the accessory protocol interface module (APIM). When the audio volume control is adjusted using the steering wheel or the center display screen, the center display screen may or may not show a visual change with no change in audio volume. This may be due to the software installed in the audio control module (ACM). To correct this condition, reprogram the ACM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic tool. For claiming, use causal part 18C869 and applicable labor operation in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 522462024-02-14. Service bulletin. Some 2023 Escape vehicles may exhibit a Front Camera Fault and/or Pre-Collision Assist Fault message displayed in the instrumental panel cluster (IPC) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) C1001:78 and U2107:68 stored in the image processing module-A (IPMA) when the vehicle is driven on uneven roads. This may be due to the software installed in the IPMA. To correct this condition, reprogram the IPMA using the latest software version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool and perform the appropriate IPMA alignment procedure. Perform a self test and clear DTC codes. For claiming, use causal part 14G647 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 521622024-01-18. Service bulletin. Some 2023 Escape vehicles equipped with 1.5L engines may exhibit an Engine Coolant Over-Temperature Warning message displayed in the instrumental panel cluster (IPC) and an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P1285 and/or P1299 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) during hard acceleration or under high load conditions. Ford is aware of the concern and this condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in Q1 of 2024. Replacement of the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor may not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.
TSB 23-23452023-11-21. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may exhibit the navigation feature in the center display screen only displaying imperial (feet and miles) units and not being able to change to metric (meters and kilometers) units. This may be due to the software level of the SYNC module (APIM). To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the APIM to the latest software level via a coordinated flash. NOTE: The APIM software update that addresses the symptom listed in this article may have been sent via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) to connected vehicles that have automatic updates enabled through the center display screen. Enter the vehicle identification number (VIN) in Professional Technician System (PTS) and check the OTA Dashboard under the Connected Vehicle tab for OTA update history. If an update to the APIM has successfully completed recently and the customer is reporting the symptoms are no longer present, this article may not apply.
