SSM 524762024-05-03. Service bulletin. All accessory stick-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated (wired) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System (DPES); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com > Parts and Service > Parts Product Line Information > Keys/Entry Devices > Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.

SSM 523282024-03-20. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2024 Bronco/F-150, 2023-2024 Escape/F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may experience a concern during accessory protocol interface module (APIM) programming where the vehicle's center display screen indicates USB Error. This may be due to a lack of memory space available to perform the APIM software update. If it is a memory concern, the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) will provide an option to delete the voice application. Re-enter the module programming and when prompted, do not select first option - SYNC Module (APIM) Software Update, select the second option - Delete Voice Application(s) From Module. Once deleted, run the SYNC Module (APIM) Software Update as directed, this will update the software and automatically reload the voice app. If the voice delete option is not available, continue with normal diagnostics in the Workshop Manual, Section 418.
SSM 523272024-03-20. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2022 Corsair vehicles equipped with a head-up display (HUD) may exhibit a blank HUD screen condition after programming the module. This may be due to the software level installed in the HUD module and does not affect the instrument panel cluster (IPC) display. To correct this condition, reprogram the HUD module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 19G468 and applicable labor operation in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 522982024-03-05. Service bulletin. Some 2023 Escape vehicles built on or before 10-Jul-2023 and equipped with a 12 inch instrument panel cluster (IPC) display may exhibit a roundabout/traffic circle arrow directing the traffic to go to the left (clockwise) around the roundabout. This is incorrect and opposite to what is displayed in the center display screen. The direction of travel should be to the right (counterclockwise) around the roundabout/traffic circle. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in April 2024. Replacement/reprogramming of the IPC will not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.
SSM 522712024-02-23. Service bulletin. Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 12 inch center display screen and driver assistance package DBCAY (minor feature code) may exhibit the brakes applying without brake pedal input during parking lot type driving below 5 mph (8 km/h). To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS) OASIS report. This may be due to the Front Brake Assist feature of the vehicle. If the customer finds this feature too sensitive, it can be turned off in the vehicle's center display screen in the Features > Driver Assistance menu. This feature is unrelated to the Pre-Collision Assist feature of the vehicle. To disable the pop-up message that Front Brake Assist is off every time the vehicle is restarted and permanently disable the feature, download and perform the IPMA - Image Processing Module A (IPMA) Configuration application using the latest version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic scan tool. The vehicle is not misbuilt. The addition of any parts is not a warrantable repair. Do not submit a claim for this condition.
SSM 522612024-02-23. Service bulletin. Some 2023 Escape vehicles with hybrid powertrain built on or before 27-Oct-2023 and 2023 Corsair vehicles with hybrid powertrain built on or before 24-Oct-2023 may exhibit an intermittent no audio condition with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U1A00:87 stored in the accessory protocol interface module (APIM). When the audio volume control is adjusted using the steering wheel or the center display screen, the center display screen may or may not show a visual change with no change in audio volume. This may be due to the software installed in the audio control module (ACM). To correct this condition, reprogram the ACM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic tool. For claiming, use causal part 18C869 and applicable labor operation in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 522462024-02-14. Service bulletin. Some 2023 Escape vehicles may exhibit a Front Camera Fault and/or Pre-Collision Assist Fault message displayed in the instrumental panel cluster (IPC) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) C1001:78 and U2107:68 stored in the image processing module-A (IPMA) when the vehicle is driven on uneven roads. This may be due to the software installed in the IPMA. To correct this condition, reprogram the IPMA using the latest software version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool and perform the appropriate IPMA alignment procedure. Perform a self test and clear DTC codes. For claiming, use causal part 14G647 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
