NHTSA's summary

Some 2022-2023 Expedition vehicles (not including Expedition MAX) built on or before 26-Jan-2023 may exhibit the liftgate spoiler contacting the roof during freezing temperatures when ice is present. This may be due to an insufficient margin between the liftgate spoiler and the roof at the roof center line area. To correct the condition, repair the spoiler and roof per Workshop Manual, Section 501-03/501-28. Make sure that the margin between the liftgate spoiler and the roof is a minimum of 6.5 mm at the roof centerline after liftgate adjustment. For claiming, use causal part 7844210.

This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is recommended for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition. SSM 515362023-05-04. Service bulletin. For 2000-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, swapping a module from a vehicle for diagnosis purposes is likely to cause errors and is not recommended. It is also not recommended to order a replacement module using a vehicle identification number (VIN) from a different vehicle. Most modules on these affected vehicles are VIN/vehicle specific and hardware variations between modules do exist. Swapping a module from a vehicle or ordering a module using a different vehicle/VIN can cause ineffective repairs and additional vehicle down time. Make sure all appropriate Workshop Manual (WSM) procedures are followed when diagnosing the condition prior to all module replacements and only order modules using the correct VIN.

Some 2022 Expedition vehicles, built on or before 01-Jun-2022, may exhibit a concern with the right and/or left power running boards intermittently not stowing and/or deploying when not commanded. This may be due to various software parameters in the driver front seat module (DSM). To correct the condition, download and run the Driver Front Seat Module (DSM) Configuration app on the latest level of the Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming use causal part number 14C708 and applicable labor times from Section 10 of the Service Labor Times Standard (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 508232022-06-17. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2022 Super Duty, Navigator, and Expedition vehicles equipped with a power roof opening panel may experience a malfunction or an inoperable condition with the power roof opening panel or sunshade where the initialization procedure may need to be performed. The Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 50117 > General Procedures > Power Roof Opening Panel Initialization is the process of being updated. At this time, when directed in Step 1 to switch the ignition ON, the engine should then be started and allowed to run. When Step 2 is reached and the vehicle is turned back on, the engine should be restarted and allowed to run through completion of the initialization procedure.
