Service bulletin 0500216
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 9003357 | 2024-01-02. Service bulletin. ADAPTER, Engine Oil Filter (Pentastar V6) For all 2014MY replace the Oil Filter Adapter (OFA). For any other MY (with mileage above 30,000) review and follow instructions from STAR Online S1809000007 REV. C available on Dealer Connect. Also, consider the following: 1) Remove OFA 2) Replace only the oil inlet O-ring and gaskets (seals kit in SOL above). 3) Re-install the OFA. For 2023MY and beyond use black O-ring. For 2022MY and prior use red O-ring. Note: When replacing OFA, it may be necessary to transfer the Oil Temp/Pressure Sensor from the old OFA to the new OFA. |
| 2102415 | 2023-01-09. Service bulletin. Flash: Transmission Diagnostic And Shift Enhancements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Transmission Control Module (TCM) with the latest available software. A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination on vehicles equipped with a 948TE 9 speed automatic transmission (sales code DFH or DFJ). Upon further investigation, a technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored in the TCM memory. ? P0887 - TCM Power Control Circuit High ? P0711 - Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor A Circuit Range-Performance ? P1DAD - Input Shaft-Output Shaft Direction Correlation In addition to addressing the above DTCs, this TCM calibration update is being released to enable the new wiTECH based ?Transmission Quick Learn? procedure to be performed anytime the transmission adaptation memory cells are cleared or when addressing customer concerns of poor shift quality. It is also being released to improve transmission downshift response time during normal driving. |
| 0500115 | 2023-01-09. Service bulletin. Rear Brake Squeal Noise In Reverse This bulletin involves replacing the rear brake pads. The customer may describe a squeal noise from the rear brakes. Noise is only present during the first few brake applies in reverse. Noise is most prevalent at low temperatures around -12 to -4 degrees C (10 to 25 degrees F) after an overnight cold soak and during low brake pedal apply pressure. Noise goes away after approximately 5 brake applies. |

| 9003756 | 2022-10-24. Service bulletin. Rain light sensor Rain sense wipers do not operate: 1. Visual Inspection--> Check if the sensor is visually OK. (all the pins are OK) Check that the Connector is NOT loose (Sensor must get a voltage from 9V to 16V) 2. Functional Checks Rain--> Steering column switch is in auto mode (sensor is active) it is necessary to splash water on the sensitive surface of the sensor to trigger wipes. check the same for different sensitivities When the rain sensitivity is increased (for example from level 0 to level 1), as an acknowledgement a single wipe is seen. (This is not a phantom wipe) and this single wipe is not seen when the rain sensitivity is decreased (from higher level to lower level) Light--> Steering column switch is in auto mode (sensor is active) block the light coming on the sensor from outside of the vehicle (use a opaque object), the head lamps should be activated 3. If the sensor seems functional, it is ideal to remove the silicon gel pad from the sensor, replace it with the new silicon gel pad instead of replacing the whole sensor. When servicing the LRSM please replace the silicon gel pad with a new silicon gel pad (PN 68224945AA) instead of replacing the whole sensor. |
| 55111275A | 2022-09-26. Service bulletin. Sun Sensor Multi zone Auto Climate Control systems. Left and right outlet temperatures do not match when system is in "sync" . Occupants will experience being cold ( winter time), on either passenger or driver side, even though the temperature setting is the same. Root cause: Suspect sun senors ( PN 55111274AA and 55111275AA). THERE WILL BE NO DTC FOR THE SUN SENSOR active or stored. The issue is diagnosed by using an INCANDESCENT (not LED) shop lamp. Shine the shop lamp on the left side of the sensor, then on the right side of the sensor, while monitoring sensor output with STARSCAN. The reading should change from 0 (or near zero) to about 20 to 40. The important thing is that the left and right readings are the same, and that they change when the lamp is shone on it. |
