Service bulletin SSM 50324
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some 2021 Bronco vehicles built on or before 23-Jun-2021 may exhibit a whistle noise from the driver side mirror while driving. This may be due to an excessive gap between the side mirror and mirror cap assemblies. An improved version of the mirror cap has been released for service. To correct this condition, replace the mirror cap with service base part number 17D743. Refer to the parts catalog for the VIN specific application.

| TSB 26-2092 V2 | 2026-10-01. Service bulletin. This article supersedes TSB 25-2466 to add Bronco Sport, Escape, Maverick and Corsair, as well as removing Expedition and Navigator. One time use parts for Corsair and Bronco Sport were also added to the parts list. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a headliner rattle or sagging condition around the roof opening panel. This may be due to the adhesive separating from the headliner substrate. |

| SSM 54601 | 2026-02-27. Service bulletin. Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with wired keyless entry keypad systems and accessory wireless keyless entry keypad systems may or may not come with a wallet card containing the master code. Unlike the integrated wired keypad, the accessory wireless keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool or from the label printed on the body control module (BCM). The Factory Keyless Entry Code application within the diagnostic scan tool will not provide an applicable master code for the accessory wireless keypad. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is not available, the "Wireless RF Keypad Diagnosis Guide" can be referenced and provides direction on how to retrieve the master code. This guide is located under the Workshop Manual tab > Accessories > Installation > Wireless RF Keypad Diagnosis Guide > PPT C > Step C2.<br /><br /> Note: The only available keypad for some vehicles from the assembly plant is the accessory wireless keyless entry keypad. The integrated wired keypad cannot be installed on vehicles not equipped from the factory with a wired keyless entry k |
| TSB 23-2298 | 2023-10-03. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2023 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with a 1.5L engine built on 24-Jul-2021 and through 31-Aug-2023 may exhibit a hissing noise from rear liftgate area when driving straight between 35-50 MPH (56 80 Km/h). This may be due to the absence of the rear floor insulator located in the spare tire compartment. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to install a rear floor insulator in the spare tire compartment. |
| SSM 51808 | 2023-07-26. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2023 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with a 1.5L engine and active torque coupling differential may exhibit a hissing noise from rear liftgate area when driving between 35 to 50 MPH (56-80 Km/h). This condition could be eliminated when the vehicle is driven in slippery mode. This condition does not affect the vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform the customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in September 2023. The replacement of the rear drive unit (RDU) is not recommended for this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule a service appointment for customers once the repair becomes available. |
| SSM 51536 | 2023-05-04. Service bulletin. For 2000-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, swapping a module from a vehicle for diagnosis purposes is likely to cause errors and is not recommended. It is also not recommended to order a replacement module using a vehicle identification number (VIN) from a different vehicle. Most modules on these affected vehicles are VIN/vehicle specific and hardware variations between modules do exist. Swapping a module from a vehicle or ordering a module using a different vehicle/VIN can cause ineffective repairs and additional vehicle down time. Make sure all appropriate Workshop Manual (WSM) procedures are followed when diagnosing the condition prior to all module replacements and only order modules using the correct VIN. |
| SSM 50458 | 2022-02-16. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2021 Explorer/Aviator/Escape/Corsair, 2021-2022 Bronco Sport, and 2022 Maverick vehicles may exhibit an inoperative driver door window control switch (windows inoperative, mirror control unresponsive, etc.). Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1088:87 may be present in the driver door module (DDM). This may be due to the software in the DDM. To correct the condition, reprogram the DDM with the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). After reprogramming the DDM, run the DDM configuration application and perform a window learn routine via FDRS. For claiming, use causal part 14B291 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |
| SSM 50452 | 2022-02-16. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2022 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with passive entry system may experience a condition where the liftgate passive entry feature is inoperative. This may occur if the user inadvertently presses the liftgate button on the passive key fob once and then presses the exterior liftgate release switch, causing the liftgate passive entry feature to become inoperative. To correct this condition, press the liftgate button twice on the passive key fob to restore the liftgate passive entry feature functionality. |

| SSM 49630 | 2021-03-03. Service bulletin. Some 2021 Bronco Sport vehicles built on 01-Oct-2020 and through 31-Dec-2020 could experience a whistle noise coming from the front of the vehicle at highway speeds. To correct this condition, adjust the hood rearward. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 501-03>General procedures>Hood alignment (NOTE: hood to fender gap at base of A-pillar to be no less than 2.5mm to avoid paint chips). Provide approximately 6mm flushness offset between the top of the grille and the leading edge of the hood. After hood adjustment, open and close the hood as validation that there is no contact between the Hood and Fender at the A-Pilar. Conduct a highway drive to confirm whistle noise has been corrected. |
