Service bulletin TSB 21-2340

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Some 2019 Edge/Nautilus vehicles equipped with a 2.0L EcoBoost engine built on or before 22-Aug-2019 may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P04DB stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to various strategies within the PCM software. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to replace the crankcase ventilation tube assembly and reprogram the PCM.

A recall listed here may apply to some of the same vehicles. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle.

Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component
TSB 21-23892021-12-02. Service bulletin. Some 2019-2021 Edge/Nautilus vehicles built on or before 11-Mar-2021 and equipped with a 8F35 transmission may exhibit a shudder/buck/jerk while driving up to 35 mph (57 km/h). This may be due to the software in the powertrain control module (PCM). To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to reprogram the PCM and the transmission solenoid strategy.
SSM 498212021-06-01. Service bulletin. Some 2015-2021 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit an illuminated MIL with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P0011, P0012, P0014, P0015, P0016, P0017, P0018, P0019, P0021, P0022, P0024 and/or P0025. This may be due to small debris causing the VCT solenoid to stick. Before attempting any component diagnosis or replacement of the VCT solenoid, refer to Powertrain Control and Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) pinpoint test HK11 to cycle the affected VCT solenoid 10 times to attempt to clear the debris. For claiming, use causal part 6M280 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 492922020-11-04. Service bulletin. Some 2018-2020 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit inoperative remote features via the Ford Pass/Lincoln Way mobile app, incomplete user authorization, no modem electronic serial number (ESN) displayed or DTCs U2100 and/or B156D in the telematics control unit (TCU). These symptoms may persist even after performing a TCU software update and/or replacement. To correct this condition, start a new session with the latest version of the appropriate diagnostic scan tool and perform a PMI on the TCU. If issues persist, open a hotline assistance request and include the IDS version (if applicable) used to perform the PMI and the Authorization Status PID value in the TCU datalogger. For claiming use causal part 14H092 and applicable labor times in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
TSB 20-21942020-07-06. Service bulletin. Some 2019 Edge/Nautilus vehicles may exhibit a slow fuel fill and/or spit back during refueling. This may be due to the software in the powertrain control module (PCM). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.
TSB 20-21512020-06-04. Service bulletin. Some 2019-2020 Edge/Nautilus vehicles equipped with 2.0L EcoBoost engines built on or before 24-Jan-2020 may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2282 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This concern may be due to an intermittently stuck open brake vacuum tube assembly causing an uncommanded high air flow intake manifold leak. To resolve the condition, replace the brake vacuum tube assembly.
SSM 480292019-07-08. Service bulletin. Some 2018-2019 F-150 vehicles built on 23-Sep-2018 and through 28-Mar-2019 and 2019 Edge/Nautilus/Continental/MKZ vehicles built on 4-Dec-2018 and through 29-Mar-2019 and Fusion vehicles built on 16-Jan-2019 and through 12-Apr-2019 equipped with a 2.7L/3.0L EcoBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P04DB stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the incorrect positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve installed. If the PCV valve is brown in color, refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual for normal diagnostics. If the PCV valve is gray in color, replace the PCV valve, clear the DTC, and retest. If the DTC returns, refer to the PC/ED for normal diagnostics.
TSB 19-20462019-04-08. Service bulletin. Some 2019 Edge/Nautilus vehicles equipped with a 2.0L EcoBoost engine, built on or before 23-Jan-2019 may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0128, P0217, P02EE, P02EF, P02F0, P02F1, P044C, P1285, P1299, and/or P2196 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to various settings in the PCM software. To resolve the condition, update the PCM software.
SSM 478172019-04-01. Service bulletin. Some 2019 Edge/Nautilus vehicles equipped with 2.0L EcoBoost engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2282 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This concern may be due to an intermittent stuck open brake vacuum on demand valve causing an uncommanded high air flow intake manifold leak. Inspect the vacuum on demand valve (K2GC-2420-AD/K2GZ-2420-A). The Powertrain Controls and Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual Pinpoint Test HG and Workshop Manual are being updated to include a diagnostic routine for the vacuum on demand valve and a procedure to remove and install the vacuum on demand valve. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.
