Service bulletin SB-16-004 03050

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

BACKGROUND The trailer hitch weight was not properly calculated into the gross axle weight rating (GAWR) on the vehicle certification label. This can create a situation where the vehicle exceeds the indicated gross axle weight rating. Additionally, the Owner’s Guide incorrectly states the towing capacity of the vehicle is 1,500 lbs. The Owner’s Guide should show a table listing the towing capacity based on the number of passengers in the vehicle.
