Service bulletin SB-20-17-006

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

On certain Model Y vehicles, the hood latch actuator connector wires are installed in the incorrect position, causing the hood latch to open upon vehicle wake up; this will prompt a driver alert and prevent the vehicle from switching into drive mode until the hood latch is closed.
