Service bulletin B19050C

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

ServiceNews Article - If the 12-volt battery goes dead or the vehicle has an electrical or mechanical issue that keeps the transmission from shifting to Neutral, the best way to move the vehicle is with commercially available car dollies. If there aren't any available, you'll need to release the park lock (manually put the transmission into Neutral) using the procedure under Gear Shift Control Actuator Removal and Installation in the service information.

B17050B2017-07-01. Service bulletin. "SERVICE NEWS ARTICLE - IF THE 12-VOLT POWER GOES OUT (THE BATTERY GOES DEAD OR IT’S DISCONNECTED), THE DOOR GLASS WON’T GO TO THE PARTIAL DOWN POSITION WHEN YOU OPEN A DOOR. KEEP IN MIND THAT ALTHOUGH THE DOOR GLASS SEEMS TO BE SHUT TIGHT, THE DOOR OPENING SEAL IS ACTUALLY FLEXIBLE ENOUGH SO YOU CAN OPEN THE DOOR WITHOUT DAMAGING IT. YOU JUST NEED TO PULL ON THE OUTER DOOR HANDLE A LITTLE HARDER."
