NHTSA's summary
Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty, 2017-2019 Continental, and 2016-2018 Explorer/Police Interceptor Utility vehicles may exhibit a crank/no start condition, inoperative trailer tow lighting and/or inoperative power telescoping mirrors. This may be due to a concern within the battery junction box (BJB) relay module. A lower level service part has been released to allow for replacement of just the BJB relay module instead of the BJB harness. F-Super Duty part number HU5Z-14A067-A, Continental part number GU5Z-14A067-C, Explorer part number FU5Z-14A067-A, Police Interceptor Utility part number GU5Z-14A067-B.

Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with wired keyless entry keypad systems and accessory wireless keyless entry keypad systems may or may not come with a wallet card containing the master code. Unlike the integrated wired keypad, the accessory wireless keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool or from the label printed on the body control module (BCM). The Factory Keyless Entry Code application within the diagnostic scan tool will not provide an applicable master code for the accessory wireless keypad. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is not available, the "Wireless RF Keypad Diagnosis Guide" can be referenced and provides direction on how to retrieve the master code. This guide is located under the Workshop Manual tab > Accessories > Installation > Wireless RF Keypad Diagnosis Guide > PPT C > Step C2.<br /><br /> Note: The only available keypad for some vehicles from the assembly plant is the accessory wireless keyless entry keypad. | SSM 51947 | 2023-10-06. Service bulletin. Some 2015-2019 F-Super Duty and 2015-2020 F-150/Mustang vehicles may require replacement of the powertrain control module (PCM) for various reasons. While performing a programmable module installation (PMI) using the Integrated Diagnostic Service (IDS) scan tool, an error message may state: Configuration Failed, Would You Like To Retry? This may be due to improper module replacement steps. Make sure that the original module is installed in the vehicle, delete the vehicle session, then start a new vehicle session. Once the session starts, run the PCM PMI and install the new PCM only when the scan tool instructs. Finish the PMI by following the prompts given by IDS. If the original PCM is not available, it is possible to configure the module by running as-built programming on the PCM. When IDS asks to obtain part numbers or configuration data, select configuration data. |
