Service bulletin B613814

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Drivetrain Malfunction (CCM 794) with Isolation Faults. The Drivetrain Malfunction check control message (CCM 794) is displayed, either while driving or when starting up. The following faults are stored in the vehicle: EME: 22280F and/or 222814 SME: 21F0E3 and/or 21F0E4 When the CCM is present, there are no apparent drivability concerns. After allowing the vehicle to rest and then restart, the CCM typically does not reappear. CAUSE The cause of an isolation fault is generally a resistance between HV+ or HV- and the shield/chassis ground, which is below a predetermined threshold. The following procedure addresses these faults when caused by a defect in the cable between the HV battery and the EME, as well as when excess moisture is present inside the REx eMachine. This moisture condenses and triggers the above-mentioned faults after a long REx runtime followed by rapid cooling.

B3405172020-04-20. Service bulletin. TICKING NOISE WHILE CORNERING WITHOUT THE BRAKES APPLIED: This Service Information Bulletin (Revision 3) replaces SI B34 05 17 dated September 2017. Ticking noise coming from front wheel while cornering without brakes applied noticeable at low speeds. The vehicle must be moving. See attached video V34 01 20 Note: For a similar noise heard when parking with the brakes applied refer to SIB 31 01 12. Microscopic movement of the contact interface between the inner brake disc and the wheel bearing flange on vehicles equipped with lightweight brake discs.
B3211192020-04-20. Service bulletin. SPORADIC REDUCTION OF STEERING ASSISTANCE: This Service Information Bulletin (Revision 1) replaces SI B32 11 19 dated October 2019. The driver notices a reduction of steering assistance sporadically while in certain driving situations. Steering control is never lost when the reduction of assistance occurs. The fault may self-correct for no obvious reason or be eliminated with a terminal change/key cycle. There is no Check Control (CC) message when the issue occurs. Unfavorable software in the Electric Power Steering (EPS).
B1212192019-06-24. Service bulletin. The electrical machine electronics (EME) Printed Circuit Board (PCB) may not have been produced to specifications. In the event that the EME detects this condition it will shut down high-voltage electrical power. A shut down of high-voltage electrical power would result in a loss of propulsion increasing the risk of a crash. However the 12-volt electrical power remains functional to support power steering and braking.
3202142018-11-13. Service bulletin. Power-assisted Steering Intermittently Not Available at Engine Start-up. An EPS warning lamp may light up intermittently in the instrument cluster at Drive Readiness. At the same time, the power-assisted steering is unavailable. After switching the ignition off and on again, the steering is available again. No fault codes are stored in the fault code memory of the electric power steering (EPS-I1). Electric Power Steering (EPS).
B2701152018-11-13. Service bulletin. PERFORM THE PROCEDURE OUTLINED IN THIS SERVICE INFORMATION ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES BEFORE CUSTOMER DELIVERY OR THE NEXT TIME THEY ARE IN THE SHOP FOR MAINTENANCE OR REPAIRS. SUBJECT Service Action: Replace Park Lock Actuator. Unfavorable tolerances in the park lock actuator may lead to a functional failure or unusual noises when it is activated. As a result, the park lock actuator must be replaced on affected vehicles. Affected vehicles in dealer inventory must not be retailed or delivered until this issue is corrected. Vehicles at ports of entry will be repaired prior to dealer delivery.
3207142018-11-13. Service bulletin. "SUBJECT Sporadic Electronic Power Steering (EPS) Warning Lamp when Starting Drive Readiness. An EPS warning lamp may intermittently light up in the instrument cluster when starting drive readiness. No steering assistance is available at this time. After a terminal change (switching the ignition off and on again), the warning lamp is no longer illuminated. Software error in the EPS control unit Fault code ""FC 4823E6-Internal control unit-power pack faulty"" may be stored in the EPS."
