Flash: RA3 Radio Software Enhancements This bulletin involves updating the radio software. The customer may experience one or more of the following: ? Display screen may lock up during very hot temperatures. ? Rear camera unintentionally switches off and display screen turns blue. ? Radio resets. ? Radio sluggish performance. ? Bluetooth dropped connections. ? Hands free calling poor sounding. ? Navigation GPS off location. ? No GPS intermittently. ? Voice recognition poor. ? Remove SAT button (soft key) on a vehicle that is not equipped with Sirius Satellite. ? Vehicles equipped with SDARS (Satellite) and No SDARS (No Satellite) may have a fast reset condition of the radio while the navigation system is active.

(includes flywheel / clutch asm) The received engine will be configured with or without a block heater. If required, dealer to purchase/install the block heater. The included instruction sheet K6855863AB in engine kit 68275870AA is to be followed for all applications that it applies. Please see the sheet for details. In addition to the items detailed in instruction sheet K6855863AB, please read the following below to determine the rework required to install this engine into a 2012- 2018 Fiat 500 (FF) with 1.4L EAB normally aspirated engine: 1) determine which condition exists for the received service engine a) vehicle has a manual transmission, received manual transmission engine. b) vehicle has a manual transmission, received automatic transmission engine. c) vehicle has an automatic transmission, received automatic transmission engine. d) vehicle has an automatic transmission, received manual transmission engine. 2) follow below steps based on condition (a) through (d) above. Condition a) No further rework required, other than ordering/installing a block heater if required. Condition b) Remove flexplate / auto trans adapter plate / auto trans engine mounting bracket / auto trans engine oil dipstick from new service engine. Transfer flywheel / clutch / manual trans engine mounting bracket / manual trans engine oil dipstick from old engine. Order/install block heater if required. Condition c) Identify the automatic transmission adapter plate on the original engine. Looking at the rear of the vehicle engine with adapter plate mounted:

Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find that the following DTC has been set:B1053-64 - RFHM (Keyless Ignition Node (KIN) Communication) - Signal Plausibility Failure (Software has been updated to better address this DTC). In addition, customers may experience the following conditions:With the ignition in the run position and the engine not running, the vehicle may not turn itself off after 30 minutes. Tire pressure monitoring (TPM) light may illuminate when using the winter tires in winter mode functionality. (2015-2016 Only) After an engine start and the doors are closed, a message in the cluster may be displayed ?Key Not Detected? when the key is actually present. (2015-2016 Only) Only a message is displayed, the vehicle will start.
