Service bulletin SSM 47450

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component
SSM 519622023-11-03. Service bulletin. Some 2016-2018 F-150 and 2016-2017 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may require pressure bleeding of the brake system. The brake system pressure bleeding procedure in the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 206-00, has been updated to add a warning to not apply the brake pedal or master cylinder damage may occur.
SSM 512612023-01-06. Service bulletin. Some Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit noise when the brakes are applied. When diagnosing and repairing brake noise conditions, use the Workshop Manual (WSM) and the appropriate pinpoint test in section 206-00. The brake rotors should only be machined if directed by the WSM because one or more of the following conditions are present on the braking surface: scoring, excessive corrosion/rust or pitting, bluing/discoloration and/or heat spots. For additional information, refer to WSM section 206-00.
SSM 511202022-10-11.
SSM 500642021-09-04. Service bulletin. Some 2013-2021 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit noise when the brakes are applied.
TSB 20-20462020-03-03. Service bulletin. Some 2018-2019 F-150 vehicles built at Dearborn Truck Plant on 17-Jul-2017 and through 4-Aug-2019 or Kansas City Assembly Plant on 14-Aug-2017 and through 6-Aug-2019 equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost engine, 3675 mm (145 in) wheelbase, XL/STX trim package, and max trailer tow package (towing pack 1) may exhibit a stability control, traction control and/or Advance Tracù warning message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) message center with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C0051:54 and/or C0051:64 stored in the anti-lock braking system (ABS) module. This maybe due to one or more software parameters in the ABS module. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to reprogram the ABS module.
TSB-20-20282020-03-03. Service bulletin. Some 2013-2018 F-150/Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with 4-wheel drive (4WD) may exhibit an intermittent grinding noise while driving in 2-wheel drive (2WD) mode most commonly on acceleration. This may be due to a loss of vacuum to the integrated wheel end (IWE) actuators and/or wear of the IWE components. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to reprogram the transfer case control module (TCCM) and replace any worn vacuum and/or IWE components.
SSM 480422019-07-08. Service bulletin. Some 2018-2019 F-150, Expedition, and Navigator vehicles may exhibit a concern of inoperative adaptive cruise control with no associated diagnostic trouble code (DTC). This concern may occur if the hot in run or start switched power is not present at the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module on circuit CBB17. A load test is recommended to test the ABS module power and ground circuits.
SSM 477552019-03-04. Service bulletin. Some 2018 F-150 and Expedition vehicles may exhibit a battery draw resulting in a discharged battery. An electronic park brake (EPB) switch internal short may cause the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module to wake up resulting in controller area network (CAN) system wake up. If the draw cannot be duplicated with fuse F70 removed, suspect the EPB switch.
SSM 477012019-03-04. Service bulletin. Some 2016-2019 F-150 vehicles may exhibit DTC C0051 in the ABS module. This DTC compares steering angle between the power steering control module (PSCM) and ABS and may set due to towing, driving in heavy winds, loose suspension or steering gear components, alignment, or harness or connector concerns with the ABS or PSCM circuits. The ABS pinpoint tests AE, LA, or LB may direct a replacement of the PSCM after disconnecting/reconnecting PSCM connectors. Do not replace the PSCM using ABS Pinpoint tests AE, LA, LB. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section, 211-02 to locate the correct PSCM pinpoint tests for the PSCM DTCs that are retrieved during the PSCM self-test. The ABS pinpoint tests are in the process of being updated.
SSM 475402018-12-03. Service bulletin. Some 2018 F-150, Expedition, and Navigator vehicles may exhibit a concern of inoperative adaptive cruise control with no associated DTCs. This concern may occur if hot in run or start switched power is not present at the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module on circuit CBB17. A load test is recommended to test the ABS module power and ground circuits.
