Service bulletin 01-001-18-3419a
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
After parking the vehicle at temperatures below the freezing, some customers may experience a lack of power with the check engine light on and DTC P0638:00 and/or P2112:00 stored in memory. - P0638:00: Throttle valve actuator control range/performance problem (one drive cycle DTC) - P2112:00: Throttle valve actuator motor current range/performance problem (one drive cycle DTC) This concern may be caused by condensed water in the intake manifold entering the throttle valve. After parking at temperatures below freezing, the throttle valve may be frozen at the stand-by position, resulting in the symptom. To prevent this concern, the control logic of the PCM has been modified to avoid frozen the throttle valve (by moving the valve at a certain time after the ignition has been turned off). NOTE: With this modification, the main relay may stay on up to 90 minutes after the ignition switch is turned off. "BATTERY INSPECTION" in the Workshop Manual will be modified to properly check the battery parasitic draw after this modification.

| 01-013-21-3753 | 2021-10-31. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may have coolant leaks at the cylinder head around the exhaust manifold (as shown below). There may be cracks at the stud bolt hole (1) or at the outside of the exhaust manifold (2). Cracks may be caused by: Deformation of the exhaust manifold during usage causing unexpected force to certain areas of the cylinder head. Residual stress generated during production in the cylinder head material may be greater than expected. The external force from the exhaust system when driving over bumps may cause unexpected force to certain areas of the cylinder head. To eliminate this concern, the design of the exhaust manifold gasket and the cylinder head has been modified to reduce the force on the cylinder head. |

| 04-004-21-3821 | 2021-10-02. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may exhibit: Vehicle body vibration when moving from a stop while using the Electric Parking Brake (EPB) automatic release function. Uneven rear brake pad wear. These concerns may be caused because the automatic EPB caliper release timing is too late for the movement of the vehicle. NOTE: Frequent usage of the EPB automatic release function may promote uneven rear brake pad wear. To eliminate these concerns, the EPB control module logic has been modified. |
| 04-007-20-3713a | 2020-12-03. Service bulletin. Some vehicles equipped with electric parking brake (EPB) may exhibit a grinding noise from the rear brakes when braking. This may be caused by the rear brake pads not having the capability to remove the rust from the rear brake discs. The red rust accumulated on the discs is exposed to high temperatures during braking, and consequently the rust turns black. As the black rust is too hard to be removed by the brake pads, the rust progress is accelerated, resulting in the grinding noise. |

| SA-062-20 | 2020-09-03. Service bulletin. Some customers may complain about the following message displayed in the Multi-Information Display: In the following cases, the MRCC with Stop & Go function system is canceled when the vehicle is traveling at 19 mph (30 km/h) or less: • The Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) cannot detect target objects due to one of the following: • The windshield is dirty • The FSC lens is foggy • There is low visibility due to rain, fog or snow • It is at night and there is not enough light • There is direct or reflected sunlight on the FSC • There is problem with the FSC • There is a problem with the AUTOHOLD control function. • There is a problem with the electric parking brake (EPB). |
| MT-002-19 | 2019-10-04. Service bulletin. If an engine assembly is replaced after a catastrophic internal mechanical failure, clean the intake manifold internally before installing a replacement engine assembly. If the intake manifold is not cleaned properly, the replacement engine may fail prematurely. Metallic debris from the old engine (with catastrophic internal mechanical failure) may rest inside the intake manifold. When the new engine assembly is installed, debris in the intake manifold will be ingested into the new engine and cause internal damage. |
| SA-042-18 | 2018-10-09. Service bulletin. DO NOT follow the instructions on MGSS for performing the ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE (EPB) FORCED RELEASE PROCEDURE until these instructions are read, otherwise, damage to the EPB system may occur The instructions on MGSS are incorrect in one step, but will be corrected soon. NOTE: Performing the electric parking brake forced release procedure is necessary if the electric parking brake cannot be released by operating the electric parking brake switch or performing a recovery operation (*) due to a malfunction in the system or a discharged battery. |
