Service bulletin 02-009-18-3472

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

04-003-19-3589a2019-07-01. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may experience the TCS/DSC indicator light and the TPMS warning light both ON with DTC C0051:62 stored in memory. DTC C0051:62 - The difference between the initial learned value of the steering angle (as calculated by each sensor) and the steering angle (as calculated by the steering angle sensor) while driving in a straight line, has exceeded its allowable tolerance (or threshold). NOTE: For vehicles equipped with the Smart City Brake System (SCBS), the master warning light also comes ON with the message "SCBS Inspection Required" in the display. The symptoms may occur when the following conditions are met: After starting the engine, the vehicle is driven backwards while the steering wheel is turned to the left or to the right or going forward over a bump while turning the steering wheel. The vehicle is then driven forward and begins accelerating while the steering wheel is still turned. To eliminate this concern, the DSC HU/CM software has been changed.

MT-010-182018-12-17. Service bulletin. Some vehicles (with MAZDA CONNECT) may exhibit a condition where DTC U0323(PCM) / U0423(ABS) /U3000(IC) CANNOT be deleted when the TPMS warning light flashes and/or the TCS/DSC indicator lights are illuminated. This can happen if the ignition is turned OFF within 20 seconds after the ignition is turned ON in one of the following two situations. 1. The ?ROOM? fuse (Engine compartment) is NOT installed when battery level is low. 2. The CMU (Connectivity Master Unit) is NOT connected.
02-011-18-34762018-07-02. Service bulletin. This service bulletin illustrates the conditions when a TPMS warning light may illuminate, why it illuminated and how to properly initialize the system. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) monitors the tire pressure of all four tires indirectly using the data sent from the ABS wheel speed sensors. If the air pressure of one or more tires is too low compared with the specified value (the initial value learned by the system), the system warns the driver with the TPMS warning light in the instrument cluster and a beep sound. To allow the TPMS to operate correctly, it is essential that the TPMS be initialized to learn new conditions whenever a tire related service is performed.
02-002-15-3002C2017-06-08. Service bulletin. AFTER PERFORMING RECALL CAMPAIGN 8014J, OR THE VEHICLE VIN IS NOT APPLICABLE TO 8014J, SOME VEHICLES MAY EXPERIENCE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) WARNING LIGHT ON EVEN IF THE TPMS SYSTEM HAS BEEN PROPERLY INITIALIZED AT THE SPECIFIED TIRE AIR PRESSURE. THIS MAY BE CAUSED BY IMPROPER TIRE AIR PRESSURE DETECTION BY THE TPMS SYSTEM ON CERTAIN TYPES OF ROAD SURFACES.
02-006-15-31012017-06-08. Service bulletin. SOME MAZDA6 VEHICLES MAY EXPERIENCE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) WARNING LIGHT ON EVEN IF THE TPMS SYSTEM HAS BEEN PROPERLY INITIALIZED AT THE SPECIFIED TIRE AIR PRESSURE. THIS MAY BE CAUSED BY IMPROPER TIRE AIR PRESSURE DETECTION BY THE TPMS SYSTEM ON CERTAIN TYPES OF ROAD SURFACES. NOTE: • UNDER THE MAZDA SERVICE PROGRAM (MSP45), ALL CURRENT DEALER INVENTORY AND RETAILED VEHICLES FOUND TO BE WITHIN THE ABOVE VIN AND PRODUCTION DATES RANGES MUST BE REPAIRED ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THIS SERVICE BULLETIN. • BEFORE PERFORMING ANY REPAIR, VALIDATE THAT THE VEHICLE IS APPLICABLE TO THIS PROGRAM BY PERFORMING AN "EMDCS WARRANTY VEHICLE INQUIRY" AND VERIFYING THE VEHICLE DISPLAYS CAMPAIGN "MSP45" AND ITS CAMPAIGN STATUS DISPLAYS "OPEN". SEE "VEHICLE INSPECTION PROCEDURE" BELOW.
