Service bulletin 15-006-17-3388
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some customers may complain about one or more warning lights ON when they start the vehicle during hot weather. The following DTCs are stored in memory: U3000:98 - Forward sensing camera (FSC) stops functioning due to temporary high temperature. U3000:04 - Forward sensing camera (FSC) internal malfunction. The combination of warning lights mentioned by the customer may include: Instrument Cluster Multi-Information Display (if equipped) warning messages may include: Forward Smart City Brake Support Malfunction, Smart Brake System Malfunction, Front Camera Sensor System Malfunction, MAZDA CONNECT center display warning messages may include: High Beam Control [HBC] / Lane-keep Assist System [LAS] Malfunction. Have the vehicle checked by a dealer if this indicator stays on. Smart City Brake Support [SCBS] Malfunction. Have the vehicle checked by a dealer immediately. Note: The center display Warning Messages are only displayed when the customer selects Applications>Vehicle Status Monitor>Warning Guidance>Warnings. This condition may be caused by FSC control logic that is too sensitive. When the FSC detects DTC U3000:98 during high temperature, it stops the internal communication and stores DTC U3000:04. DTC U3000:04 will not clear and SCBS/SBS, LAS/LDWS, and/or HBC functions will not resume until the ignition switch has been turned OFF even if the temperature of the FSC cools.

| 15-004-19-3639 | 2019-10-04. Service bulletin. Some customer's may complain that In heavy rain, the front parking sensor system detects objects despite nothing being in front of the vehicle, and no related DTCs are stored. This may be caused by the ultrasonics diffusing inside when the front parking sensors get wet. As a result, the parking assist unit mistakenly detects objects near the front of the vehicle. To correct this issue, the detecting logic in close range has been improved. |
| 09-033-19-3590 | 2019-08-21. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may exhibit the rear parking sensor beeping without any obstacles behind it when the shift lever is shifted into Reverse. This concern only occurs when the rear USB power outlet (1) is broken. This is caused by noise from USB interference with the harness of the rear parking sensor (when the USB power outlet is broken). To correct this issue, the configuration of the USB power outlet has been changed to improve durability. |
| 09-032-19-3579 | 2019-08-21. Service bulletin. Some customers may experience improper operation of the rear parking system with beep sounds coming from the rear parking sensor when there are no obstacles behind the vehicle. This occurs when the blower fan is on (at any fan speed) and the transmission is in "R" position. The concern is caused by electrical noise from the blower fan controller circuit affecting the rear parking sensor circuit. To eliminate this concern, the harness to the rear parking sensor has been twisted to improve its tolerance to electrical noise. |
| SA-018-19 | 2019-05-30. Service bulletin. Due to a changes in the 2018 Mazda6, there are two things to note of when installing the Rear Parking Sensors. 1. When securing the main harness in step 4, DO NOT attach the one tie wrap as shown. There is the possibility of attaching it to the moonroof drain hose and pinching the hose. 2. When routing the sensor harness behind the rear bumper (section 8, Installation of Harness section 2-2) utilizing the 3 mount base positions, the middle mounting base position #2 is located under the Blind Spot Monitoring sensor bracket as shown. |
