NHTSA's summary
Service Bulletin 517 provides instructions to carry out additional PDI checks, to check that the front direction indicators with the longer stem that are fitted to the front of the motorcycle and the rear direction indicators with the shorter stem(s) that are fitted to the rear of the motorcycle.
