NHTSA's summary
Transit Film This bulletin involves properly removing the vehicles transit film. When a new unsold vehicle arrives at the dealership, improper removal of the transit film can cause paint damage to the vehicle. Paint damage can occur if the transit film is not removed within six months of application.
