Service bulletin TSB17-2143
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 51536 | 2023-05-04. Service bulletin. For 2000-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, swapping a module from a vehicle for diagnosis purposes is likely to cause errors and is not recommended. It is also not recommended to order a replacement module using a vehicle identification number (VIN) from a different vehicle. Most modules on these affected vehicles are VIN/vehicle specific and hardware variations between modules do exist. Swapping a module from a vehicle or ordering a module using a different vehicle/VIN can cause ineffective repairs and additional vehicle down time. Make sure all appropriate Workshop Manual (WSM) procedures are followed when diagnosing the condition prior to all module replacements and only order modules using the correct VIN. |

| TSB 21-2318 | 2021-09-30. Service bulletin. Some 2017 Continental vehicles built on or before 19-Oct-2016 may exhibit a rattle noise from the underbody of the vehicle while moving. This may be due to the movement of loose underbody shield fasteners which are attached to the underbody shields. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to replace the underbody shield fasteners. |
| TSB 20-2233 | 2020-08-06. Service bulletin. This article supersedes TSB 19-2026 to update the vehicle model years affected. | SSM 48765 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. Some 2017-2020 Lincoln Continentals may require the door latch assembly be serviced. When removing or replacing the door latch utilizing Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-14, be certain to note latch emergency and door lock cylinder cable routing prior to any disassembly. Routing of these cables is critical to proper operation of latch assembly. Once door latch installation is complete, it is recommended to verify all door latch and glass functions to validate proper cable routing and latch installation. Refer to WSM, Section 501-04 illustrations and direction for further information. |
| SSM 48742 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. Some 2017-2020 Continental vehicles built on or before 10-Jan-2020 may exhibit a creak type noise when opening or closing either front door. This may be due to fatigue in the sheet metal of the door in the area of the door check arm. If fatigue is found, a revised door assembly has been released for this concern. The part numbers of these revised door assemblies are GD9Z-5420125-C (left door) and GD9Z-5420124-C (right door). |

| SSM 47580 | 2018-11-19. Service bulletin. Some 2017-2018 Continentals my exhibit a squeak or creak at or near the door check strap when opening or closing the driver or passenger front doors. The origin of the noise may be due to a loose or improperly retained door panel push pin(s). If the door panel is found to be loose, remove the affected door panel and inspect the panel push pins for damage. If no damage is indicated re-install the door panel and ensure that the panel push pins retain the panel securely. The black push pin near the speaker opening may require additional pressure to ensure it is fully seated. If damaged push pins are found, replace the affected push pins and reinstall the panel. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-05. Use applicable labor operations in Section 12 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |
