Damaged lug nuts and studs could result in a loose or detached wheel. This condition may be noticeable during normal vehicle maintenance and torque checks. Customers are being advised to immediately inspect their vehicle's rear-wheel lug nuts and studs for damage and replace them if necessary. Customers are also being advised to continue this inspection as part of normal vehicle maintenance and that replacement lug nuts and/or studs are available from their local GM dealer.

17409 (Bulletin2018-05-07. Service bulletin. 17409 - Customer Satisfaction. Certain vehicles, that have had an engine replacement may have the wrong torque applied to front cradle-to-body bolts (M14) and front cradle stabilizer brackets-to-body bolts (M10). The Engine Replacement Service Procedure in the vehicle Service Information instructs technicians to use improper torque values when reattaching the cradle. Dealers will replace bolts (M14 and M10), verify cradle alignment and apply the correct torque to attaching bolts.
16-NA-3992017-08-31. Service bulletin. This bulletin advises the Service Technician of new longer bolts and lock washers required to be installed during repairs that require the half shaft bolts to be removed or replaced.
PIP4648C2017-08-15. Service bulletin. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician that replacement transfer case halves will not be threaded. No additional thread tapping will be necessary to assemble the transfer case as the attaching metric bolts are self-tapping. Drive the bolts into the new case and torque them to specification.
