"DESCRIPTION A LIMITED NUMBER OF 2013 MODEL YEAR LAND ROVER LR2 VEHICLES WITHIN THE LISTED VIN RANGE CONTAIN ENGINE CALIBRATION FOR MISFIRE DETECTION WHICH IS UNNECESSARILY PESSIMISTIC. IF A VEHICLE SUFFERS A MISFIRE EVENT THAT EXCEEDS THE PUNITIVE ALLOWABLE LIMITS, THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) WILL REACT BY INITIATING A RESTRICTED PERFORMANCE MODE TO PROTECT THE EXHAUST CATALYST, WHICH MEANS THE DRIVER NOTICEABLY EXPERIENCES REDUCED ENGINE PERFORMANCE UNTIL THE NEXT IGNITION CYCLE."
