DEALER MESSAGE - AMERICAN HONDA (AHM) IS INVESTIGATING CERTAIN 2015 TLXS WITH A CLIENT REPORTING ON IGNITION START, THE ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE (EPB) WILL NOT RELEASE CAUSING ONE OR BOTH REAR WHEELS NOT TO MOVE AND/OR "CHECK PARKING BRAKE" WARNING MESSAGE DISPLAYS IN MID. TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THE CAUSE OF THIS OCCURRENCE, AHM WOULD LIKE TO COLLECT SPECIFIC PARTS FROM THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO YOU ATTEMPTING A REPAIR OF ANY KIND.

| DLR MSG - Acura | 2017-07-31. Service bulletin. Dealer message - 2015 TLX 9AT clients affected by Service Bulletin 14-050, Safety Recall: Transmission Does Not Engage Park will be sent notification letters starting the week of February 2nd. The letter will explain the reason for the recall and the recommendation to use the electric parking brake any time the vehicle is parked as a precaution. It also says to contact their dealer to make an appointment on or after February 23rd. A temporary service bulletin has been posted in the iN to provide instruction to your dealership for how to manage these clients prior to receipt of the final service bulletin and special tools required to perform the inspection and flush procedure. The temporary service bulletin will be replaced by the final service bulletin, which will include complete inspection and flushing procedures, on or before February 23rd. |
