SOME 2015-2017 F-150 VEHICLES BUILT ON OR BEFORE 28-NOV-2016 EQUIPPED WITH A MECHANICAL TAILGATE HANDLE AND REMOTE CONTROL TAILGATE LOCK MAY EXHIBIT A TAILGATE THAT WILL NOT OPEN DURING FREEZING TEMPERATURES DUE TO A FROZEN TAILGATE LATCH CONTROL ASSEMBLY. TO CORRECT THIS CONCERN INSTALL A REVISED TAILGATE LATCH CONTROL ASSEMBLY PART NUMBER FL3Z-9943170-E. REFER TO WORKSHOP MANUAL SECTION 501-14. FOR CLAIMING, USE CAUSAL PART 9943170 AND APPLICABLE LABOR OPERATIONS IN SECTION 12 OF THE SERVICE LABOR TIME STANDARDS (SLTS) MANUAL.
