Service bulletin SC-15-002

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Due to a manufacturing error, the electrical resistance of the insulated base inside the Motor Control Unit (MCU) may decrease and lead to unstable voltage within the circuit. This condition can result in reduced electric motor power (turtle mode) and in the worst case, prevent the vehicle from being restarted or the Main Drive lithium−ion battery from being recharged.
