Service bulletin SB-2032225/2
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| A9615992038421-2 | 2018-02-05. Service bulletin. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 96 number 14-86 dated September 25, 2014. | A961372 2035047- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. Audi Lane Change Assistant deactivates or is sporadically inoperative when the vehicle is driven in slow-moving stop-and-go traffic, especially on roads with multiple lanes. The message "Audi side assist unavailable: Sensors blocked" appears in the driver information system. The system is able to be activated approximately ten minutes after the traffic condition is removed, or after an ignition cycle. Audi Lane Change Assistant can be activated without issue. No obstructions can be found. DTCs are stored in the Lane Change Assistance control module. The control module mounting brackets are securely fastened to the lower rear bumper, and no damage is found to the rear bumper area, on the inside or outside. (If any damage is found, it is not covered under warranty.) The control module mounting brackets are not broken or loose. If a loose bracket is found, repair as necessary using the Elsa Repair Manual. Submit a separate warranty claim, as this TSB does not cover this repair. The software of the Lane Change Assistance control module can deactivate the Audi Side Assist system in certain normal driving conditions because the nature of these driving conditions make it difficult for the Audi Side Assist system to track vehicles. |
| A961369 2034516- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. Road lane markings are not detected or the Audi lane assist system is inoperative after the lane assist camera control module, J852, has been calibrated, the windshield has been replaced, or the air suspension level sensors have been adapted. DTC C1115F2 (Lane change assistance control module 2 Function limitation due to insufficient voltage) is logged in the lane change assistance control module, J769 (3C). The lane change assistance control module, J769 (3C), checks voltage after each engine on cycle. During this check, the voltage can be incorrectly reported which causes the DTC to set. |

The DTC entry "Control unit 2 for lane changing assistant - restricted function because of low voltage, sporadic" is logged in the control unit "3C - Lane Change Assistant".
