37 13 09 20287152022-05-02. Service bulletin. After a mechatronics, torque converter, or complete gearbox replacement, the clutches must be adapted to the new component. This requires a gradual move of the clutch linings toward the optimal operating points in the most diverse load conditions. As a result, sporadic driving power disruptions lasting for less than a second or reduced shift comfort are possible over the first 500 miles. This is normal, and these issues will decrease over time. The issues can also occur if the adaptation values of the gearbox were deleted.
37 13 08 20341632022-05-02. Service bulletin. Software error in the transmission control module. Customer may report that the transmission does not work correctly. ? Shortly after a cold start, the following message appears in the instrument cluster display: ?Gearbox Malfunction! Journey can be continued?. The gearbox is in limp mode until the key is cycled. ? The issue is very sporadic and cannot be reproduced with a test drive. ? DTC P17E1 (Gear positioner 2 mechanical malfunction) with DFCC 9473 is stored in the transmission control module, J743 (address word 02). ? The DFCC is the 4-6 digit code that is typically listed before the fault code (Figure 1).
