Details The coolant pump is fitted with a radial shaft seal on the oil-side and on the coolant-side is a mechanical seal. Mechanical seals are reliable an durable, yet for technical reasons, they always exhibit minor seepage. The seepage amount is considered to be within permissible limits if the coolant does not need to be topped up between service intervals. The drain hole (arrow in the figure) of the coolant pump is in plain view. Even small, inevitable seepage is noticed and often perceived to be a faulty coolant pump. In many such cases, fault-free coolant pumps are replaced. In order to reduce misdiagnosis and repeat repairs, a drain hose is retrofitted. The hose diverts the seepage away from the field of view to under the engine. Yet large amounts of leakage that indicate a faulty coolant pump will be noticed.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10151350-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10151350-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10151350"},{"nhtsa_id":10149289,"type":"service_bulletin","type_name":"Service bulletin","date_added":"2018-11-26","date":"2014-10-01","document_id":"MC56005564","mfr_campaign":null,"component":"EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL","summary":"Heated handlebar grips intermittently not working","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2014/MC-10149289-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2014/MC-10149289-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10149289"},{"nhtsa_id":10149288,"type":"service_bulletin","type_name":"Service bulletin","date_added":"2018-11-26","date":"2014-10-01","document_id":"MC55813536","mfr_campaign":null,"component":"EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM); EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL","summary":"Navigator V maintains a Bluetooth connection to a mobile phone for a short period.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2014/MC-10149288-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2014/MC-10149288-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10149288"},{"nhtsa_id":10149274,"type":"service_bulletin","type_name":"Service bulletin","date_added":"2018-11-26","date":"2017-05-01","document_id":"MC2300117","mfr_campaign":null,"component":"POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION:COLUMN SHIFT ASSEMBLY; EQUIPMENT","summary":"Customer complains about an operating failure on the left or right multifunction switch.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10149274-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10149274-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10149274"}],"next_cursor":null,"note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
