If this were to occur and the ABS hydraulic unit is activated, one or more of the valves could seize. This could result in longer brake pedal travel and increased stopping distances, which may increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.  Correction:  Dealers will flush and clean the hydraulic unit by replacing the brake fluid with higher grade (DOT4) fluid.
