In the presence of a spark or flame, the leaking fuel could cause a fire and personal injury.  Correction:  Fuel hose will be replaced with a molded hose that curves away from the fuel pump plate.  Also, a new bracket and grommet will be installed to hold the new hose in position. The return hose will be replaced at the same time.","mfr_campaign":"MC99-05","units":421,"do_not_drive":null,"park_outside":null,"notification":"Safety Mfr","match":"base","models":["VULCAN 1500 DRIFTER"],"built_from":null,"built_to":null,"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/recalls/tc/1999230"},{"source":"nhtsa","country":"us","campaign":"99V338000","date":"1999-12-07","manufacturer":"KAWASAKI MOTORS CORP.","component":"FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS","summary":"VEHICLE DESCRIPTION:  MOTORCYCLES. This sensor is designed to stop the engine and prevent the fuel injection system from pumping fuel unnecessarily if the vehicle falls down.  If the sensor is not properly installed, the engine may crank but not start or the engine may stop during certain riding situations, like leaning over on a turn.  Sudden loss of engine power could cause the  operator to lose their balance with the potential for a vehicle crash.  Correction:  Dealers will ensure that the vehicle down sensor is properly installed, install a warning label on the vehicle to assure that the sensor is properly installed in the future and place revised pages in the owner's manual.","mfr_campaign":"MC99-02","units":421,"do_not_drive":null,"park_outside":null,"notification":"Safety Mfr","match":"base","models":["VULCAN 1500 DRIFTER"],"built_from":null,"built_to":null,"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/recalls/tc/1999090"}],"lookup":{"nhtsa":"https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls","tc":"https://wwwapps.tc.gc.ca/Saf-Sec-Sur/7/VRDB-BDRV/search-recherche/menu.aspx?lang=eng","maker":null},"attribution":["Contains information licensed under the Open Government Licence – Canada."]}
