The air conditioner wire harness may have been improperly routed allowing some wires to rub against each other. Eventually, the insulation on the improperly routed wires may wear through which could cause a short circuit. A short circuit could cause under-hood wiring to overheat and smoke and could result in an engine compartment fire. Correction: wiring harness will be inspected and rerouted. The seasors may detect a sudden deceleration as a result of an impact to the unercarriage or underbody of the vehicle and signal the airbags to deploy. Such an impact might occur if the car travelled over a curb or through a deep pothole at relatively high speed.
