If this happens, there would be a loss of power to the wheels. A broken pressure plate may also crack or break the transmission case. This could cause debris to fall from the vehicle.\n\nSafety Risk:\nA sudden of loss power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, debris from an overheated and fractured pressure plate could contact nearby parts and increase the risk of a fire.
