Certain car wash detergents containing sulfuric acid could cause damage to the fuel pump. This could cause the fuel pump to crack and create a fuel leak.\n\nSafety Risk:\nFuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could increase the risk of a fire.\n\nCorrective Actions:\nThe company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer for an inspection of the fuel pump. If the fuel pump is cracked, it will be replaced.
