Over time, repeated freezing/thawing cycles could cause a crack to develop in the sensor case allowing water intrusion and short circuit of the sensor.  In the event of a crash, this could result in delayed deployment of the driver and passenger front airbags which would increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect the front impact sensor and replace it if it is found to be cracked. An updated designed bracket and cover will also be installed.","consequence":null,"remedy":null,"notes":null,"mfr_campaign":"SR-16-007","part_number":null,"units":66076,"completion":null,"do_not_drive":null,"park_outside":null,"notification":"Safety Mfr","french":{"component":"Coussin gonflable","notification":"Sécurité - fabricant","summary":"Dans certains véhicules exploités dans des régions où l'on épand beaucoup de sel sur les routes, un mélange de neige, d'eau et de solution de sel de voirie pourrait s'infiltrer entre le capteur d'impact avant et le support qui le fixe au véhicule. Au fil du temps, des cycles répétés de gel et de dégel pourraient provoquer l'apparition d'une fissure dans le boîtier du capteur, ce qui permettrait une infiltration d'eau et un court-circuit dans le capteur. En cas d'accident, cela pourrait retarder le déploiement des coussins gonflables avant du conducteur et du passager, ce qui augmenterait les risques de blessures. Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter le capteur d'impact avant, ainsi que le remplacer s'il présente une fissure. De plus, un support et un boîtier à conception améliorée devront être installés."},"vehicles":[{"year":2008,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER","vehicle_id":"2008_mitsubishi_lancer","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2009,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER","vehicle_id":"2009_mitsubishi_lancer","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2010,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER","vehicle_id":"2010_mitsubishi_lancer","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2011,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER","vehicle_id":"2011_mitsubishi_lancer","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2012,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER","vehicle_id":"2012_mitsubishi_lancer","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2013,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER","vehicle_id":"2013_mitsubishi_lancer","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2014,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER","vehicle_id":"2014_mitsubishi_lancer","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2015,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER","vehicle_id":"2015_mitsubishi_lancer","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2008,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER EVOLUTION","vehicle_id":"2008_mitsubishi_lancer-evolution","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2009,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER EVOLUTION","vehicle_id":"2009_mitsubishi_lancer-evolution","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2010,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER EVOLUTION","vehicle_id":"2010_mitsubishi_lancer-evolution","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2011,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER EVOLUTION","vehicle_id":"2011_mitsubishi_lancer-evolution","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2012,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER EVOLUTION","vehicle_id":"2012_mitsubishi_lancer-evolution","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2013,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER EVOLUTION","vehicle_id":"2013_mitsubishi_lancer-evolution","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2014,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER EVOLUTION","vehicle_id":"2014_mitsubishi_lancer-evolution","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2015,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER EVOLUTION","vehicle_id":"2015_mitsubishi_lancer-evolution","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2009,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER SPORTBACK","vehicle_id":"2009_mitsubishi_lancer-sportback","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2010,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER SPORTBACK","vehicle_id":"2010_mitsubishi_lancer-sportback","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2011,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER SPORTBACK","vehicle_id":"2011_mitsubishi_lancer-sportback","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2012,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER SPORTBACK","vehicle_id":"2012_mitsubishi_lancer-sportback","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2013,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER SPORTBACK","vehicle_id":"2013_mitsubishi_lancer-sportback","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2014,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER SPORTBACK","vehicle_id":"2014_mitsubishi_lancer-sportback","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2015,"make":"MITSUBISHI","model":"LANCER SPORTBACK","vehicle_id":"2015_mitsubishi_lancer-sportback","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null}],"may_apply":true,"as_of":"2026-10-19","lookup":{"nhtsa":"https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls","tc":"https://wwwapps.tc.gc.ca/Saf-Sec-Sur/7/VRDB-BDRV/search-recherche/menu.aspx?lang=eng","maker":null},"attribution":["Contains information licensed under the Open Government Licence – Canada."],"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/recalls/tc/2016382"}
